Nothing against them, it's just the majority.

Firstly, this is an issue with PC competitive players, and secondly, GB doesn't exist anymore, the proper term is now "compl4d players". Other than that I agree.

Indeed they have. But last time I checked the Compl4d ladder seems pretty dead too. The ladder didn't seem organized. I'll have to check back. I see ClossonRedneck is on it. Odd, the guy hates Gamebattlers with a passion yet joins what is essentially a Gamebattles Lite.

It is dead. The only thing left is a few players talking shit about which teams where the best during a certain season.

I tried joining, i personally enjoy counter banging GB teams and watching them lose their minds. But i had no luck cause its dead as shit.

The only thing they really have left now is trying to get reverse pub stomps and play like uptight lil try hard douche bags and catch another team off gaurd. Its like they think they're are doing the L4D world a favour.

Dumb ass's, no how many times i've caught them slipping and reverse thier damn reverse and watch them quit.

Anyways, its easy to notice the left over Geebs now. So its simpler to boot them from a lobby. But at the same time they did bring challenge to any one looking for one.. I really didn't mind playing against them.

I think its funny watching GB die a slow...slow painful death. Soon most of the few left over teams will crumble and the only thing that will survive is pub games.

Fuck booting them from a lobby. It's more fun BEATING them.

Back when I was new at this game I used to think that all GBs were really really good, and/or they cheated. Now I know that the latter is pretty much totally untrue, and that the former is often untrue. I've taken on a couple of GBs who I believe were 2nd or 3rd page, and thoroughly destroyed them.

GB is mentioned a lot, but most of the higher tier comp players in L4D/L4D2 don't even compete on GB. I never have, and I've competed in LAN tournaments and WAN tournaments outside of GB.

My own personal response to the video...

Definitely not posting the video to gloat or brag by any means. I know all of the people on the other team and were on good terms. No disrespect to any of them. I don't need a video as proof of any skill either, as I've proved my own in tourneys and etc. I had a good tank clip and I had a silly idea to throw in a pokemon style theme, lol. The reason its called "A Wild KiLLaTanK Appears" is because when you run into something in the wild on pokemon, it says a wild SOMETHING appears.

As for the game play, the survivors started with the typical strat. Block LOS by sitting in the building. My goal as tank at first was to have spawns ready, push in and make the survivors come out, then get a rock or two. Any intelligent group of survivors will push out of the building before tank gets in so they can light the tank and/or avoid getting stuck inside for multi hits. I was able to bait the survivors twice like this before they caught on to my game. The reason the survivors wanted to hold out so long by the building is because there was a gas can laid out in front of the white car. They were hoping to light me but I only pushed in far enough to scare them out, and get some rocks. They caught on to my plan and decided to rush forward. I continued to play defensively in the back and lob rocks until the over pass where I dropped down and eventually finished them off further up the road.

I am well known for my rocking abilities and its my preferred form of attacking the survivors. I rock and push in when necessary, depending on the map and etc. If i were to have gone full aggro mode on the survivors originally I would have risked getting lit and taking way too much chip. Even if I would have avoided the fire, if i were to have stayed in and gone for punches, my SI would have been killed and I would have been faced with trying to kill 4 survivors on my own. Even with a boom it wouldn't have mattered. Solid survivors can clear commons and fight a tank at the same time. Even if I would have gotten 1-2 incaps, I would have died.

If you think you can push in and be a 1 man army with your mad punching skills, you are wrong, and you should try to play against more intelligent and organized players.

Anyways, if you enjoyed the video cool, if not cool. I like to post tank game play because tank is my favorite thing to play in L4D/L4D2.

You will die quicker than a fucking lightning strike if you just rush in a group like that, especially if said group was already a pretty established team. A Tank's worse nightmare is a shotgun... and of course fire in Versus, so when it all comes down to it, if Killatoy wanted to live, he'd have to keep his distance whether ya'll agree to his hiding tactics or not.

I'm not really good with rock throwing but I am good enough knowing when to go in and when to keep my distance. Maybe you can rush in and start swinging on shitty teams but for those who play L4D competitively on a regular basis know how to deal with that shit. The name of the game in Left 4 Dead when playing infected is this: Do something they don't expect. They obviously did not expect him to attack like that, thus they probably decided to bounce out of panic. Totally was not a good idea to start running especially after those who already ate those rocks and didn't have enough health to run or properly dodge more rocks. They left themselves wide open from an attack from Special Infected, Common Infected, and a Tank. Regardless of whether they are good teams or not, that was a pretty noobish decision on their part.

So I'm not gonna bag on your videos like a few have been doing in this thread, I'd just like to say it was a well played Tank even though I have seen that snipe-with-rocks tactic a million times by now. I'll say you are far better than me at hitting people with rocks. I suck at throwing half the time. lol.
