Error verifying STEAM UserID Ticket Solutions

For the people who have been having a problem with this, here are several ways to overcome it.

1. Log out and restart steam. Log back in.

2. Close steam. Go to program files then find ClientRegistry.blob in your steam directory and delete it. Restart steam. (when you open the steam folder it should be the second one next to steamapps)

3. Close steam. Then update your system clock and start up steam again.

4. Close your game. Go to steam games, right click on CS and go to Properties, then Local Files then verify integrity of game cache. (secret provided by Pineapple!)

anyone been getting a "hl2 has encountered a problem" error? I seem to be getting them out of nowhere in the last week.....pos steam....

Tony i get that error every single time i shut down TF2... it exits normally.. then the error pops up just as its finishing the exit. But since im already trying to close it down... the error isnt something ive worried about whatsoever. Have not gotten that error before in CSS though.
