what do you want in a map?
Anyone have any layouts, any ideas? post em here and we can help you make them, or we can even make them ourselves. Gun game, bomb, hostage, whatever, lets see it. Layouts are great, draw up a map, scan it, nothing fancy.

I have an idea of what I'd like to see in a map, don't really care how it would be used though.
I've always thought it would be a neat idea to try to work in and de and and cs map together. Kind of like make it so the terrorists have to bomb an area, and in that same area, make it so there are hostages the CTs have to rescue to prevent from being blown up as well.
I have no idea if that is even possible, I could have sworn I saw at least 1 map similar to that where there were hostages and a bomb, but it wasn't that popular, probably because there was no teamwork on those servers though. If done right, I think it would be an interesting new twist to the game and could be quite fun. The map would have to be fairly large though so it isn't an easy win for CTs or Ts to get to or defend/blow up.
I really like the idea, just never thought of a map layout or anything to go with the idea.

can u take a previous map.. such as assault.... and "tweak" it a lil? haha say make it night and add a tunnel system.. .fix the vent camping problem by changing the vents.. make more ways to the hosties... put the upstairs windows able to see through (such as compound windows)?

I was sketching at work yesterday, and started toying around with a map. Every de_ map has several things in common, so I started making a list. I also added several 'TTP specific' things, like the ability to make complex calls or adjust on the fly, the use of (lots of) smokes and flashes, etc.
What I came up should be fun, if I can get it all sized and timed right. I'll post the sketches and walkthrough tonight when I get home.
