HELP!

Having issues while playing some games...mostly cs. My screen goes in and out of blackness...I mean complete black! A quick fix usually is reconnecting to the servers or restarting all together, but I was wanting to fix this problem all together as is happens on a more serious level with BF2.

I get this when I overclock. I can't explain why or how, but reducing my overclock(s) fixes it.

Also check your video drivers. I've recently had to change drivers because my other was started giving me problems. I don't know why when it had been working fine for several months it just started acting up, saying it lost connection to the monitor. Since I switched I haven't had a problem yet (*knock on wood*).

Yeah start by updating drivers. If the problem is still there, try reinstalling CS. Finally, there may be dust buildup in your system causing instability, clean the years worth of filth out of there and might see improvement.

Yeah definately check your video drivers.
That happened with my brothers computer and we kinda changed the vid stuff and its fine

Jindra its a brand new computer... AMD Quad Phenom 9600 4 gigs of ram bad ass ati card...the works shouldnt have any problems.. could it be vista?

well vista does often times create driver problems, especially if you have 64 bit. A simple reinstall or download may help. Just because you have "a sweet ati card" doesn't mean your drivers are good.
