Is this offensive or inappropriate for server?

Counter Strike is rated M...therefore you wouldnt think many mothers would and shouldnt let their 12 year olds play(although it does happen). It is a mature server and I don't think it crosses a line. I have seen some sprays that do, but they arent the biggest concern. 10 year olds playing counter strike? cmon do some fucking parenting. I quote:

thats the bottom line. you buy an M Rated game, there will be offensive material.

Even if sprays are rated PG-13, that would be allowed in a PG-13 movie.

someone brought up the rating thing. i got hl2/cs:s for my 16th birthday. i've been playing unreal tournament and diablo2 since i was about 13. both of those are rated m. whoopie, big shit. was i offended? not at all. were my parents? not much. hell, my dad and i played UT in lan games. was it anything i hadn't allready seen on tv and movies? hell no. i still think the rating system is bullshit, and i think all it does is appease the anti-gaming nazis like jack thompson. no one even pays attention to the ratings anyways.

and dammit, i missed seeing the spray before it got taken down.

So its pretty clear that the pic is PG13 at the worst, so its acceptable on the server.

I will say this, before I made this server home/back in August of 05 I spent some time on some different servers

Anyway one of the servers I frequented was very "PC". One of the many reasons I favored this server was becuase it wasnt as strict as some of the others. As some have pointed out, this is a Mature game for audults.

If there is a problem with your 10 year old daughter walking in and seeing you play CS and then viewing bad sprays and harsh language, the problem isn't CS.....it's you letting your daughter come in and see you play.

same as it would be if you let here come in and see you look up nudie on the internet, or even, if I may say, have relations with your significant other.

CS is not a game for kids. If your kids watch you play, and you know how the game goes......then that's your choice, not ours.

JP's spray was on the border of porn, but not any more than some of the trash Bueller puts in his website sigs.

If you guys want to completely be zealots, we can add curse filters in the game and webserver, banning you for minutes or hours at a time for saying stupid things like crap and noob.

Even worse, we can make it so you cna't have sigs, or even in-game sprays.

and then, we can make it so you can't use voice.

and then, we can even make rules about mama jokes, or loud voices, or running with your knife out.

and then.........we'd be playing alone. And TTP would die.

So.........is that the plan?

Bigdog, of course it is not the plan. JP came in here and put up a poll and asked us what we thought about the picture. Some people loved it, some people hated it. That is the reason we put stuff up there. I think it is all right that not everyone wants a porn spray put up for everyone to see. Is that the reason we came to the server, so that we can put up sexy sigs and sexy "porn" sprays

No, we came because the focus is on teamplay and we really like playing the game with people that have the same objective. I don't feel bad that I don't care for the spray and that I vote against it. It is not like you can control when someone else walks in the room and sees the big spray of four young girls laying on top of each other.

The policy on the server has been no porn. If you want to change that policy, go ahead, you are the bigdog. But as of right now, the server has maintained that it does not want to go that route so if someone asks me what they think of their spray, I am going to say it.

Not once have I said we should put censors up, we have had this conversation before and I understand that this is site that a lot of people frequent (myself being one) and that we enjoy the comradarie that it brings. It gives us an alternate world to the real world and that is why I enjoy it. I can play with a team, enjoy conversations and different peoples views, and contribute to the community as a whole.

JP, I don't think you can say that this site is "PC" like your other servers which is probably why you are still here. You can say what you want when you want and for the most part, if it is intelligent, it stays, even if it is different than what everyone else says. But if you want people's opinion and put up a poll, then expect people to give you answers that you want to hear and don't want to hear. That is why you put it up in the first place, right?

The server has never had a no porn policy. I've seen, and commented on thousands of sexy sprays. I've screenshotted plenty of em.

What we have a policy on is indecency and abrasive or abusive content, such as people pooping in their mouths, or blatant racial icons such as white power nazi wannabe sprays, or "Fuck TTP" sprays.

it's at the admin's discretion what goes and what stays. The admin in game, I mean. If you are the admin in charge......run that ship. But for me, JP's spray is nothing I would even stop to screenshot.
