    There is a primary and secondary objective, be it a de (bomb) or cs (hostie) map. Should for some reason the bomb get dropped in the water, the T's still have the ability of eliminating all of the CT's to win. Just as, should the hosties get killed by a stray nade or stray gunfire, the CT's have to kill all of the T's. Read the rules I quoted above, in that there is a specificied "offensive" and "defensive" team. The "defensive" team is allowed to camp, as it is their objective to prevent the offensive side from accomplishing their objective in whatever means necessary, not vice versa.

    However, I am with you, in that a T should be allowed to stay on the ramp, so long as his team instructs, for 20 seconds or so (AT MOST), but I'd rather see that same person buy a smoke and a flash as well as an SMG, and push the boat, smoke the ramp or the boat itself, and get up. There are always ways around that silo sniper...

    Push boat, cut through warehouse, underground, and come out at CT spawn. Push boat, cut through warehouse, send 2 people to fake silos, then turn back around and hit the boat.

    With 10 people, there are numerous ways to counter 1 or 2 good positioned CT's (or T's).

    When the bomb hits the water it is a camping killing game. Read what Pine said^^. The bomb goes in the water like once every 50 rounds. The T ramp is not farther away for a T than on top of a silo for a CT. Besides that, CT's are SUPPOSED to camp, it is their objective. Your objective is to get our of spawn and plant the bomb. You wanna sit there and take a few shots before you go, GO FOR IT, nothing is stopping you. I wouldn't advise that a T sit there for too long though.

    IMO, I like when people get on the silos, it makes easy pickings for me as a T...

    We can debate this probably until CS:S2 hits the stores, and nothing will change. Bottom line is if the person making the calls says don't sit around sniping back then you don't If you think the calls suck and you can do better offer up your advice. If you don't follow the call expect the consequences.

    Obviously if the team calls for that then its a call... we arnt debating that... but if your team calls a full rush and people sit back at spawn sniping.. then thats a whole other story. From what i read... it sounds like phantom and others were all the way up in their spawn by fence or top of ramp when the call was a rush and no one asked them to sit in the back sniping for an extended time (more then 10 seconds).

    And yes... Ramp is part of spawn... its the exit point of spawn and no one actually spawns on it.. but its still spawn since its the exit point.

    Thats incorrect. There is NO spawn on Port CT side that puts a CT 2 seconds from ladder. It takes a good 6 seconds just to get to the ladder and another 3-5 to get up it and set your sniper shot. Also.. once the T's are around the corner of the warehouse you cannot be sniped from either spawn or silo because you can use the warehouse as cover. Also... if your using smokes correctly then often times your hidden from them anyway. And as for the fence... if your team is rushing correctly.. then you can make it to the boat either before the person gets a good shot from the corner of the fence area... or you can be using smokes as cover. I think what your failing to realize is that T side isnt supposed to get a free rush to plant the bomb... when you rush some are going to die.. but you get to your objective faster and its MUCH MUCH harder for CT's to attempt to get a defuse.. then it is to prevent a plant. Besides.. if you get on the boat.. i guarantee you will get a LOT more sniper kills from boat defending the bomb then you will from ramp sniping their spawn.

    I don't really want to get into this...
    But the site isn't behind warehouse, it's on the boat. And from silos you can see the boat. So if there is a ct sniper on the silo he can stop the bomb from even being planted. Unless you use smokes, but through smokes you can still see the red light on the bomb and estimate at where the T is.

    Micro i was saying that the warehouse provides cover from the spawn snipers while moving to the boat. I said nothing about after your on the boat and bomb is planted. And even then there is plenty of pipes and other such items to take shelter behind. Besides.. if bomb is planted then usually the CT shouldn't be still sniping from silo but should be moving to the bomb to attempt a defuse.

    I sort of get you. But you didn't get me. The CT doesn't need to rotate, because the bomb was never planted, because he sniped the bomber, and because he is smart and figured out you can shoot through the pipes.
