I was wondering why we have this on 1. It only gets rid of your personal gun skins, not player skins. So people can still use player skins on the server.
I understand that if you make it 2 you lose the spray ability, but at least you'd get rid of the possibility of player skins.

Heres the other two topics.
It all boils down to custom weapon skins being able to be modified to poke through walls and wall and door textures being modified to be translucent.

After reading the threads again, I wanted to ask: are we leaving sv_pure set to 1 without any real modifications? We are prohibiting the use of any custom weapon skins currently and that is the way we are keeping it, correct?
I ask because I saw someone else ask, and wasn't sure what the take on this was. I understand it limits the small advantages of some player models and weapon skins (such as the overly long gun barrels and scopes on weapons that shouldn't have them or the laser sightings), but I personally every now and then like to try something different (within reason, nothing that would actually give me an advantage like mentioned above, I avoid those at all costs). I just get tired of looking at some of these old weapon skins after playing the game for so long and they really haven't changed that much since cs was in beta (well some of them).
I can and will deal with the regular weapon models though and wouldn't mind seeing sv_pure 2 if it helps cut back some of these advantages any further.
