Thread: CSS server lag

For at least a month now.. ive noticed a huge drop off in how my shots register and how much they register on most if not all of the TTP servers. Ive also seen a ton more lag spikes and lag related problems not to mention choke being experienced in all the TTP CSS servers. Tonight trying to play in SNF was the final straw. I would shoot at someone.. and they wouldnt actually be there.. they would be about 2 seconds ahead in their movements. And it wasnt just me.. nearly every single person in the server was having that problem. There was a ton of bitching about it... and about the state of TTP CSS servers recently in terms of lag and other such issues.

Now i dont want this post to be taken as a rail against TTP. I love TTP... its the first server ive found where i can truly enjoy my play as a team member instead of an individual. I support and defend it and the idea it plays host to strongly.

However i wanted to make a thread to start a discussion on the subject and see if anyone has documentation of it... or has any insight.. input... ideas.. comments.... or concerns on the subject. So please dont just come in and whine... share your comments in a civilized manor. I realize that this type of post may get me in trouble.. but when the state of the server is such that it feels like i cant play there and have fun anymore.. then i have to say something.
