Re: slingshot...
good lord. Is it legit?... i assume so because 3D is showing it to us. Still.. i personally think bunny hoping should be illegal no matter what because CSS is supposed to be realistic and since in RL terrorists and counter terrorists cant "bunny hop"
and like quickswitching... it wasnt an intended feature of the game.... just a glitch that is exploited.
This is the type of stuff that while cool... only leads to further problems and the eventual loss of the legit gamer community. The more stuff people find to exploit and the more blurred the lines become as groups like CAL allow more and more to be exploited... the more hackers infiltrate the game and the game loses what made it great and becomes an environment that breeds non legit players who will do anything and attempt anything to get ahead.

Re: slingshot...
All cheap tactics come down to one question: how do I counter? the AWP is generally restricted because there are few effective options you have against an enemy wielding that weapon, but those options do exist, so it's not cheating. There are no such options to counter the slingshot. The slingshoting team will win, every time, no effort.

If they're constantly getting behind you, you simply move your man from warehouse to CT spawn ramp. You can still pick outside and you have an unobstructed view of the hop from twinkie to mini to backside. Switch to an m4 and carry a flash with you and you ruin his bunny-hop.
And yeah, it's legit, sL!ppY. It's the very same as just boosting onto twinkie and going from there, except you get that added initial speed. You can still bunny-hop from twinkie onto mini and to CT ramp room.

Civil, your avatar....
Do you ride your horse into battle alongside humvees and fast-movers? How deep of water can you take that thing?
How much horse-power does it have?:10 :10 :10

No, but I need to take it in CS:S with me, so when my team bails on a rush with me in the lead I can retreat just as fast as them.

Meanwhile, me, being dead, saw the entire field of play....and saw Civil...alone in the site, screaming for his team to come in and help him, while they were all making love to the car in banana. And that's just one instance.
If there's 10 rushing bodies to shoot at, you won't ALL die! Strength in numbers, my friends.
