Re: cs maps teamwork?
I don't see enough teamwork when I'm on Cs maps. And I tend to be the only one that actually tries to rescue the hoes. When it comes down to Cs maps its a completely different style of teamplay than we're used to on DE maps. It's all about timing, not about making a distraction or just full on hard core rushing. It's about watching the enemy's set up and planning against that. That's what irritates me when most people shoot down Assault. It's a good map if you play it right, but just about 80% of players play it like a death match and call no strats for it. They go in guns blazing hoping to get a kill. When you need to slow down and talk about how they're set up and what the best course of action to take is.
Also, most take a lot of skill because of the map set up. Unlike De maps, Cs maps only have one place for you to go, to the hoes then back to spawn. On De maps you have a choice to switch between A or B, and aren't required to go to a specific one. This is where you use flashes and smokes like your supposed to. Throw a smoke run past it and get the flank, or throw a smoke wait a sec for back up then rush the bastard. Hopefully this thread will get people to seriously start plying Cs maps like they play De maps.

Re: cs maps teamwork?
I'm just saying... The T's normally just camp out, and the CT's most of the time have no calls, and just go where ever they want. There is some amount of teamplay on ocaisions, but not as often or as good as de_ maps.
Me: "But the Gunslinger is so much more fun..."
Langrad: "We're here to win, not to..."
Me: "Have fun?" "Hahaha"

The thing is that cs maps require fairly even splits from both teams. Take Italy for example. Every once in a while a full out market or apartment rush by the Ts will work, but you can't do it every round. For the CTs you can't just all go long, or you will get flanked from mid or cellar, and get shot in the back. The teamwork aspect is to cover all options, see where you get kills, and push harder from that direction.

Same thing happens on de maps. You have 4-5 players calling things out, and the rest just let you get Rick rolled from behind because they either don't have, or don't use, a mic. I think it largely depends on who you are playing with. I know last night on Italy I was T, and we were calling out every CT. We were also changing up our plan to camp house, rush market, rush apartments, etc. I have also been on teams where players on left side would coordinate smokes and flashes to help people get out of apartments. If your teammates are not being team players then call them out.

Re: cs maps teamwork?
Typically cs maps require a balance and spread from the ct's, occassional rushing is good and all but unlike in de ct's have to return to spawn, if they all rush one direction, the t's have a free walk to ct spawn, which really just give them the map.
Think about it. Everyone rushes market on cts', t's go left and sit in ct spawn, cts still have to kill all the t's to win, unlikely that any t will still be alive in ct spawn and allow the cts to cap the hosties...

Re: cs maps teamwork?
There is a vast amount of teamplay on cs_ maps.
The teamplay is just a little different than de_ maps.
Instead of one or two large groups, you are broken into smaller groups of like 3 people. You still are working together as a team, communicating, with one common goal.
That's really what teamplay is about, not just sticking to one solid unit, but being able to function as a team and work with your fellow teammates successfully.
