Quickswitching is no longer a punishable offense.
After much discussion among the forum members, regulars and admins, we have come to the decision to pull the quickswitching rule from the punishable offenses on the TexasTeamPlayers CSS servers.

I can't say I like it though as I still think the original belief holds true. It use to be illegal and if you think like a cheater, get treated like one.
I still think it is useful though as you can still see a wide range of view from switching better. And regardless of what people say, it is helpful and if you are quick enough, it could still give you an advantage...but that is just me, so whatever.

This was discussed at length by the high admins, and opinions were strong on both sides. The bottom line issues that changed the decision is that there is no speed advantage to QSing, and many players, including current admins, use it simply to see their surroundings while sniping.

This is what gets me though from our own CS Server Rules and Policies:
Why do we ban people for exploits that no longer work? For the same reason we'd ban anyone for trying to use hacks that no longer work, or claiming to be a mygot when they are not. Play like a cheater, get banned like a cheater. TTP is a zero tolerance community on such issues.
I admit I was a little surprised to see the initial set of bans and what not once this became an issue, but it did make sense after I thought about it. I thought about it after I read the rules again as quoted above.
I just hate to see this happen, regardless of if it actually works or not as it was "intended" or "use to". To me it seems like we are going against our own ideals that we were founded upon by allowing an exploit that no longer works.
I know the high admins voted upon though and it was discussed vigorously I'm sure, but it is still sad to see I say. :3

Not the place to have this discussion.....what's done is done

Good. I had no problem with the rule, but the admins had to spend so much of their time dealing with ignorant quief baskets who argued about it for horus on the server, that I'm glad it's no longer an issue.
