Re: CSS rules and objectives
@ Commander, ignoring the other people:
I find these two sentences conflict with each other (taken from Rule #3. Pursue your objective, or die trying.):
- If you are unwilling, or incapable of completing your objective in the time allotted, you will be punished, harshly.
- Keep in mind, we are NOT asking you to run off into your deaths.
In certain situations these rules ARE asking you to run off to your deaths.
You are to pursue your objective or die trying, if you are incapable of doing so, you will be punished harshly, but, keep in mind, you are not running to your death.
The running to your death part seems to just tell people, don't run after the objective like a moron. It has no clear standing on "If you stand to lose, do not run to your death," it just says, don't run off into your death for the objective. But as many admins state, how do you know your chances if you don't try? How do you know your chances of killing the Ts that are left?
Scenario: You are the only ct, bomb planted A, you are on your way, there is theoretically time left to defuse but there are a lot of Ts left, say 5. (If there is no time left to defuse, you've been bumming around, or not taking the bomb plant seriously enough to avoid Ts or kill Ts on the way so you can make it to the bomb in which case, means you were unwilling/incapable of pursuing the objective and you are now viable for a slay)
Options: Kill them all, defuse. Kill a few, defuse. Or ninja defuse.
With all those options available, if you were to say no I'm going to save, then you are not pursuing the objective. YES you are NOT asked to run to your death. But at the same time, you are technically not even trying to defuse it. Which, again, is viable for a slay.
So there's a problem with the rules, because technically, it can be used to say:
1. You didn't attempt to do the objective
2. To counteract that, I'm not to die needlessly.

Re: CSS rules and objectives
Jonny, you made that gigantic post and still don't know what occurred. I will say it again for one last time, since you missed it.
Me and my team fought all the way to that bombsite from the other bombsite and were dying and killing and in the fight, and ran out of time. When I made the decision that there was 3 seconds or so left on the bomb, I just killed another Terrorist from the bottom of the ramp in B and he was in the bombsite, I told my team, that I can't get this guys and back up the ramp about 10 feet and let the explosion go over my head.
I could not get within 10 feet of the bomb before it exploded, much less defuse it.
We gave it 110%.
If the CT's could defuse the bomb EVERYTIME, then no one would play the game would they?
If you still don't get it, then you are never going to get. I can't make it any simpler than that.
If you still continue on with what ifs and well maybes and could have maybe possibly, then your motive is to be questioned.

Re: CSS rules and objectives
So I no longer have to run into the bomb explosion to get myself killed in fear of being slayed? Ok cool. May still do it just for fun

Guch what is your point here?
I saw the video. I do know exactly when it happened.
You have already recieved your answers in several post from me and others.
You got your little pieced together demo and it proved nothing more than You and a few others still trying to cause problems. Not the same guch I thought I knew.
Very dissapointed to see this coming from you though. Yea, it's a big let down, but life goes on.
Just a few of you are still trying to find, just anything to stick it to the man.
Maybe you should have been looking at your own team, for who had the Auto Sniper, yet you blew that when you chopped and pieced up that demo, huh and still failed.
You know I had not played CSS for over a year and many of the good guys here at TTP have been asking me for a long time to come play with them. So I brushed up on the rules just to double check nothing had slipped in or by me and I hopped on in there.
Needless to say, 4 guys got banned on my first experience in the server in a year.
I took a weapon from the enemy and at the beginning of the next round, a teamate said Admins are not suppose to have those unless you pick them up but even then it is frowned upon by some. Through that one down and went with my pistol and told my team to kill somebody because I need a gun.
I have had a great time playing CSS again and have had some really great games and fun times. Guys that are just trying to start trouble though, ruin it for everyone, until they are gone, which seems to be the path that you are heading down.
Not sure what is going on with you, but it's sad to see you on the side of the guys that are trying to take down the CSS Admins and community.
I never saw that coming from you.
