    Maybe we could have a top6 or top7 instead of top5 It would give us a few more choices atleast.

    As far as a script to limit the map rotation, that could hurt the server during slow times or when the server is trying to get primed.

    really though, what do you consider slow times? 10 people on the css server? I never see the thing empty.

    its usually empty from say 3 or 4 am to 11 am....but thats about it.

    oh and variety is nice, learn to expand your horizons people!

    Really depends on the map iv seen a bad map come up and the servers empty out real quick. 12:30-1AM...

    I don't see how people like to play the same map 24/7. De_Dust2 is what I see every other map and it makes for a quick disconnect due to the same scenario over and over... However I always prefer full rotation over lets choose the same map over and over.

    If the other TTP games ran the "Most" popular map all day I would of quit bf2 a long time ago and I wouldn't even touch 2142.

    Yea, CS is one of those exceptions. For some reason, playing the same map 1000 times in a row is acceptable. I think it's because you have to begin a new round to get another spawn (unlike bf2, where you can have 20+ spawns in the same round), and becaue CS is about the smallest of advantages, so playing a map that many times teaches/allows you to use all the tricks.

    Whatever, I agree with the poster, more maps the merrier. No fucking D2 24/7/365. Prodigy ftw for me. Learn to play them right and most of them are fairly well balanced. The problem is so many play them a few times, get destroyed and then declare it unbalanced.

    If you ONLY got to play one side of the map then switched to the next map in BF2142, I can assure you people would HATE maps like Gibraltar when they have to play on the offensive side. Similar in CSS... No one VERY few want to play T on Aztec because they know it's just going to be a rape fest.

    CBBL Aztec Dust and Italy could disappear from the rotation and I wouldn't blink an eye.

    I would argue, and this is just me, that the server explodes when Dust2 hits because everyone and their cousin wants to play that map. I don't know if we are necessarily recruiting more members, rather floaters that play Dust2 24/7 are joining. The reason I made the initial post is that I feel redundancy in the maps will make some regulars (those who are on the mic, promoting teamwork) quit the server and thus reducing the attraction of the server to potential regulars. For me, I live in Ohio so I am always getting screwed on the ping (80-95) but the one thing that keeps me is the constant emphasis on team-play, which I'm sure is the same reason for most of you.

    So if we remove the 3-5 most common/popular maps what are we left with? 10-15 maps people don't really enjoy? If there are other maps you want to play ask the admin(s) for a custom map vote.

    I'm not saying remove them. This wasn't so much as a post meant for policy change as it was a plea to the community to put a little more thought in to that "end of the map vote" or that "rtv" I forget who said it earlier, but if we just played cbble, dust, piranesi, we don't need to go to cbble again right after that.
