Biased comment that is not true. Sora chooses to be a team player and working on his KPD does not mean he has to bait, camp and play solo. It is just a statistic that can help you gauge your performance. You can argue all you want.

Saying you want to increase your KPD by .2 makes one focus on all whole set of topics that will help one attain their goal. If some one wants to improve their KPD it does not mean they cannot play team oriented css. In fact the better team player you are the more likely you will succeed in increasing your KPD and without speaking for Sora himself, I am sure he is aware of this as well as other TTP regulars.

I couldn't agree more with you. Not everyone cares but it should not matter to you if someone does or doesn't care about their KPD as long as they play with their team and are not jerks hindering you from having fun. Not everyone plays just for enjoyment, a lot of players play at TTP to develop their game against tough competition and want to better themselves with a great group of people.

In your eyes and reality differ often and that is the case here. Just because you think something is so, doesn't mean it is. Setting a goal doesn't mean you will achieve it, it is just one of many ways to track your progress as you work towards bettering yourself.

I have played both real sports (its funny that you have to say that now a days) and esports competitively and can say with certainty that working to achieve a positive goal always results in good outcomes. Shooting for a specific KPD is just one example I used that Sora can use for himself that will result in a positive outcome. Please, just because you do not care about your KPD, don't force your own opinions on others. Look at any self help book and you will always find a chapter on goals. They are what motivate and push people to do things that they ordinarily would not achieve.

To play in TTP means to be a team player and we should all have the goal of being a better teammate, I know I do. It is hard to measure if you are becoming a better team player but it is something you should all work on. I have multiple goals both in and out of game. It keeps me on track and focused on what is important to me.

Toker, I like the way you play and enjoy fragging it up with you in TTP. Though I disagree with some of what you said, I understand where you are coming from. Team play is of the utmost importance here and I know that. I hope others understand that I am not encouraging people to play just for KPD, I am merely saying that setting a goal which KPD is one of, can help you light a fire under your bottom and encourages you to work harder.

I want to see Sora when he is ripping it up. I enjoy watching others play as it helps me improve and enjoy the game I play too much of. Best of luck getting back into the swing of things Sora.

    Regards,

    [xXx] (3)manno

Makes sense and I'm sorry I misinterpreted what you were conveying......but you know, we don't want them rising or improving too fast on us!

Yeah, the basic's of any FPS game... is to kill people. Team-play is... Hmm...
Anyway, basically, my point is the more you can kill, the better your team can trust on you, the better the team-play is, the chain goes on.
So it isn't "bad" or anything, that's just a naive focus.
But yeah, take a break, like 1 week or something, go play AA3, or TF2. When you go back you'll be GOLDEN!
Me: "But the Gunslinger is so much more fun..."
Langrad: "We're here to win, not to..."
    Me: "Have fun?" "Hahaha"

Re: starting to lose my cs:s touch

Alright Sora I got a couple of solution that I used to get back into CS and maintain a high interest.

    1) Reduce your time play for about a week or so and play a different type of game (RPG, Fighting, etc)

    2) Pick a rival to always play against in CS and pick people that you always play with to keep things interesting. For me I always play against idunn, toker and cripple , trash talk is always exchange. I try to play with Pootie, Vic Mackey, Smoken, Vafa, and Jeff. Since Pootie and Mackey will make the round goes by fast and if you're loosing it wouldn't even feel like it with those two. All of them have interesting way of developing calls and has always made me want to play with them so I could try to start thinking like them while making calls. (my favorite way of making CS interesting every day)

    3) Practice new weapons during the game. Don't go too extreme and just pick a crapping weapon but maybe pick up the shotty and try to be a entry person in areas or scout and pick off flankers. I think people are starting to notice that I am using the awp more often when I can . Ya better hope this isn't the second coming of the shotty skills

I agree with master i usually try to play against him like he said but lately been playing with him.
Also playing another games does help i played COD WaW for 3 days then came back to css and have been doing really well even on maps im usually not so good on.
D2 i have been getting hs with the scout through the door like crazy just ask master (or salty since i did it to him 3 times and 1 with deagle)
But yes trash talking does help because it gets me pumped and want to play better but dont get to excited or concentrated on one person because then you don't really help your team and eventually end up with a worse score.
So basically follow Master's steps and you should be good to go

Watch a quick demo before you play. Learn a new crack to peek, new way to peek a corner, new way to peek this gap or that gap. And like someone has already said, challenge yourself.

Everyone hits that slump now and then, you just have to jump start yourself back into it.

A few of these have helped out a bit, but the one thing that helped over all is what Vafa told me.

    Just stop caring.

Re: starting to lose my cs:s touch

My advice... give the game a rest for a little, explore the other games on ttp. We all have our bad moments. just gotta ride them out. your skill isn't gone, just lost.
