Thread: Terrorist Team attitude!!

Hey guys just an observation but I thought it needed a lil voice. While on the T side Ive noticed that attitudes get a little frayed and as a gamer i can truly understand frustration about losing but when players start screaming at there team and just being really uncool it makes people quit. Now i know its just a game but it is there for people to enjoy and not worry about being the best player out there. If the players do follow the call and they still die at least they tried and should not be screamed at for not taking out the whole opposing team. I say all this because I have a few friends that where on with me a few days ago and they told me that a few of the regulars on the terrorist team where screaming at the entire team for sucking and they where acting really rude. Now i know there is nothing that can change attitudes and internet courage goes through the roof alot but I just wanted to bring this up in hopes that it might calm a few people down when on the terrorist team and they may not be doing well. Even when the calls are followed it just might not go right it just may be that the other side got lucky or hat they have more accurate players. That is my rant I just wanted to let it out because I really enjoy playing on the servers and I want allot of people to keep coming back.

When they dont follow strat calls is fine the admins will set them straight but when they do follow and fail it should not turn into a blame and rage session.

I can somewhat agree..............but


This is a competitive team-play server people here will get mad no matter what.

Ive always found CT more rageful, seeing as you should win most rounds no matter what T's do, and if you dont, people get mad!

Competitive play is one of the reasons I play here as well but not everyone is gonna be the best out there and shouldn't have to be called out for being new to the game or berated for having a bad day of playing.....I was sitting there listening to the barrage of insults to this poor guy who was prolly having a bad day of playing and all i could do was cringe. Ct side is way more relaxed as no one really makes a call other than the bomb sighting. I was in last night and the T side was making some great calls and had us Ct's running all over the place basically running us over and no one lost it on our side, then we stopped them once out of 10 times and the insults came flying I thought it was funny as hell. As I said in my original post this wasn't to get anybodies panties in a Bunch it was so that when you lose on T side just step back and take a breath before you jump on a team for not being able to take out Vafa when he is on one of his blitz runs they may not be as good or be having a bad day......lol.

It's been a while since I've played CSS but its where I learned TTP before coming over to TF2. I remember how frustrating it could get when the team just isn't working together and I'm also one of those people who yells at my team to get their asses in gear.

However there is a find distinction between yelling at your team because they aren't working together, and yelling at your team because you got outplayed. It happens to all of us, especially in team games. Even a good team is going to get beat because the other side just outplays them, and even good players are gonna get rolled from a good team that works together better.

You'll probably continue to hear people yelling, and it's something that I doubt will change, however before you get frustrated with the yelling, ask yourself why the person is yelling. Is it because half of your team is running away? Or is it because you guys are just getting outplayed?

Try and help the leaders of your team get the rest of them in line. Ask the rest of the team what the problem is, why can't you guys get it together. Often times I've gone off on people only to find out they were pinned down or couldn't get through, but I didn't know because it was never brought up.

Help the regs and admins get your team together and diffuse the situation and I'm sure you'll find your gaming experience here that much better. Who knows, maybe you'll eventually be that guy who steps up and leads his team to victory. As a regular, I take pride in nothing more than seeing a new player step up and be a voice of reason. If you feel that someone's yelling is out of line because you're just getting outplayed, tell him. Say, "Hey man, we're working our butts off and following the call, we're just getting rolled. Let's try something else." Then propose a different tactic. Maybe a sneaky rush, a distraction, or a split plant to through off the CTs. Maybe even a full out rush and then double back ot the other site.

Do what you can and step up and take charge. No one should think poorly of the new players, as long as they are trying to work with the team.
