    Map of Adre

    Yes, the title is correct. I'm making a map. Made two before, but never finished. Like writing, if I don't have a reason to finish I won't. Anywys, It's mainly one floor, with a few rooms on a 2nd floor.



    Full layout(what you'd see on radar, oh yea check out my mad Photoshop skills ). A Site will be out in a courtyard\backyard area, and B Site will be in a garage with a guest apartment on top. The layout won't be exact, but it's the same formula.



    Here's the layout of just the first floor.

    T's will spawn up top and have the options of:
    1. Going out the window to upper B
    2. Going out the window to Lower B
    3. Jumping down to Mid(big room in the center) and split which ever way(good for complex calls)
    4. Going down the back stairs to the back of A

    Tried to give them a variety of calls to play with(had TTP calls in mind).

    I'm about 95% done with building the layout(floors and walls, no ceilings yet). So far, my layout seems right. Ct's get into both sites about 2-3 seconds before T's. A Site may be a earlier, but I haven't tested yet cause I haven't put in the stairs. Which I'll do after this post. After my floors and walls are in the right places I'll host it on filefront and let you guys run around it.

    Advice would be great. As I said I never finished my other two, so my fine detail work is outta practice. I'll take any help you guys wanna give. I know we have some guys that are good at this.

    Oh and I have no name yet. Been calling it Test. So yea, I need to do that *hinthint*.

    Ok enough of this, I'm gunna go finish so you guys can run around it.

    I like it so far. All that jumping out of windows sounds like it will bring something unique to the table. I would love to try it out when you post it.

    No textures just yet, so sorry about all the yellow.

    Run around tell me what you think. It's empty now, so the time it takes to get to the sites may be off. I may add a few more walls to make it a bit longer feeling.

    Just a few notes:
    It took me ~10 Secs to get from T spawn to B From upper.
    Same for T spawn to A
    ~5 Secs to get to B from CT spawn
    Same from CT spawn to A
    In the room where T's cross to B. The wall to the left of where you go in that room may get a second window to drop to lower B.
    The Staircase in Mid isn't the final version, idk how I wanna do that yet.
    Upper B will be kind of look like Apartments in Strike.

    Oh yea, and that ladder doesn't work.

    when I load it it just comes up with "Sampling walkable space"... doesn't change its a progress bar and keeps repeating itself.

    Try now. I think it was cause my "sky box" was huge and not a skybox texture.

    I gotta make B bigger.

    I just let it sit there for awhile and it finally finished and i was able to run around. Probably work fine once its complete.

    I would make it alittle deeper though, the space between T and CT spawn is to close. I don't know of any map that is that close and could ruin the map.

    I can make Mid bigger. Maybe add an extra room the T's have to go through to get out of their spawn.

    I'm gunna add a set of Double doors on the CT side of Mid later on.

    Fly, did you have bots enabled when this happened? Because if you have bots enabled and the map doesnt have a .nav file, CSS will try and make one for you. That's probably what happened.

    @ Adretheon:

    I think the sites should be further away from both teams. One way this could be possible is make the map go past the ct spawn quite a bit, then make it so the cts have to exit their spawn from the opposite side of the map that the Ts spawn is at. This would make the whole map bigger, while still keeping the times fair (not equal, but balanced, as you have it now).

    We can do better.
