Explain your handle

If this has been a thread topic before, sorry, I didn't bother to search. I think its interesting nonetheless.

Explain your handle. How did you come up with/get your name(s)? What does it mean, etc?

Me . . . .well my handle actually started off 7 or so years ago in CS as Texas_Rattler, but I found that everyone was calling me "Texas" as opposed to "Rattler", which is more appropriate. So I shortened it to T_Rattler. As for Texas_Rattler in the first place, the rattlesnake is cool, and I have always been Texas proud.

Mine started off as Senses Failed. Had that for a good while but everyone thought I chose that name because I liked the band Senses Failed. I don't, never have like them so I changed it to just Senses.

Been using this handle since ~ 1995. It is a shortened version of Gandalf's nickname from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Which is a delicious topping as well.. mmmm Gravy.

Grey in general is a common handle I use.. in evercrack I was Dediadeis Grey. Later turns out, unbeknownst to me, it means 'A day I give Grey' in Spanish -- Which sorta sounds like a storm bringer. I must have remembered something from spanish class subconsciencely.

PS: I remember a time, when I use to log on to local BBS's to access newgroups and the 'Internet'.. and people were like.. the Inn.. Terr.. Net? Whats that? Crazy how times change.

I came up with this name in 1997 when I started playing Ultima Online. It has since been ripped a ton of times (mostly in MMOs). Even Blizzard named a boss in WoW after my name (not on purpose) which definitely pisses me off but whatever.

Mine's also from 1995, yay Grey! I started out on IRC, without windows, just typing, and I had two nics..Aphrael and Xoria. Both are characters from books by David Eddings. Xoria was a dryad given one line in the series, but I needed a name that wasn't taken. I like trees, and I liked her attitude, and I thought redheaded, little, cute and violent, so perfect.

Her one line was something like "Do you need all these boys to save the world, or can I eat one?"

First used MadMax in bf1942 because it is a movie that I liked (The Road Warrior being the best, and I have an australian cattle dog too), and the fact that it is a somewhat obscure movie means I don't have a ton of people with the same name. Obviously there are some other madmaxs (spelling?), as with any movie character. I have seen one on the tf2 TTP server, but he's got a space and I don't play tf2 that often so I can live with it.
