Dont hate the weapon because of ___ player, people do what you mention above with other weapons, why not hate on those?
... See what i mean? The problem is that the community doesnt decide on morality they decide on personal preference.

    By that i mean:

My heavy buddy defending my gun will vote yes so he can go out into the field instead of playing baby sitter. The medic who lost 2 of his ubers to a spy's backstab is going to vote yes, etc etc, the vote results in the spy class being restricted. Does this mean it should have been restricted? No, certainly not, it only means that the majority of the server does not personally like spies.

    ...
Guess I misworded what I was trying to say there.

I don't hate the awp. I think it is a GREAT defensive weapon. However, whenever it is employed in mass on the rushing team... there usually is no longer a rush. I don't care how much people will say that they can rush with it just fine, time and time again we have seen a team made up of mainly awpers simply camp instead. We will have a lot of volunteers to pick mid rather than lead the rush.

When the awp is restricted, there is a much smaller change of the above happening. Which is why my annoyance with it (on the rushing team) is directed towards the weapon.
Ahh ok, i see what you mean. To play devil advocate, TF2 a whole team of snipers will obviously not work, when players are asked to switch they almost always do (99.9999%). If players can learn what "around the world" is why not try the same tf2 class switching methods, in css?

Because there are a higher ratio of "STFU noob" players in CS.

I agree, the player base of TF2 and CSS are worlds and worlds apart.

Hm, I can see what you mean, but css is also the most popular FPS out. Perhaps, then, it is the same ratio, we just, for some reason, see more of the "STFU"'ers?

That's why I have said from the start to just ban the fucker completely. Get rid of it completely so we never have to deal with it.

No more votes, no more holding players hands telling them to rush with the team, no more bomb camping spawn picking mid, no more _____________. Does away with it all.

You want to be a l33t sniper... grow some balls and grab a scout.

I think the real reason the comparison does not work is because of the difference in comp leagues. In TF you need a mix of classes, but in CS you can win with 5 good awpers, so when all the leet clan boys show up they do what they know will help them win, which is different for each game.

Be careful what you say. I've rolled with a team of 8 snipers against a team of 8 balanced, and guess what? The snipers won due to coordination, skill, and will. They outplayed the other team through strategy. Unorthodox tactics can sometimes prove to be the most effective.

Also, I voted no to restriction. If the AWP is restricted, you may take away a balancing factor for the losing team. If a limit of 1 AWP per person is in play, then the one AWPer will moan "But if we can only have 1, then we need one of course!" or some variation of that.

Also, inb4 OMG BUT I NEVER SEE YOU PLAYING CSS. I play occasionally, I just suck so hard that it makes me want to /wrist when I play.

    Re: AWP

my point is simply that the gun is apart of the game, its not imbalanced, it just changes the gameplay. If it was imbalanced, the game would have died like so many other imbalanced games, codwaw for example... So why then remove a part of the game just because some do not like it, when we do not do the same it other games? Why to we listen to the whiners complain about the awp instead of doing something about it (as a team, ex flash in better, smoke, w/e). We host so many other games in which we do not encourage whining? If awping was the stop all butt raping weapon of the century, un'defeatable, unstoppable power, then the game would be unbalanced. I see the point of the ideological awper, why not transform our css servers into a more mature environment? Instead of attacking players, awpers, whoever, why not ask them nicely, or take other action against problem awpers? Like we do in all the other games we host?

even tf2 sees this forefront, for example spy's are completely nonexistant in higher level leagues. TF2 you can win with a single class just as you can in css, but so what? So what if you can win with all awpers, we play to win, isnt that right?

Well, ya we can pull up stories. I saw a css team win with only knifes. Has the loosing team submit a dispute. God it was a hilarious demo.
