Requesting articles

Considering how many new people we've had on CSS lately, from TTP or new connects, I think we could do a much more effective job of teaching people how to be successful at CSS. The most obvious articles could cover the weapons in detail. Obviously AK and M4 deserve their own individual article. Other weapons deserving of an article: mp5, p90, pump shotty, scout, and deagle. Maybe some tmp :2.

We could also use one detailing the most common buy outs and when to use them. Could also include instructions on how to set up binds for buys.

Strategy guides to certain maps maybe? A guide to common calls on dust2, for example, as well as names of locations. Some strategies for defending as CT's as well. Pira, inferno, cbble, and nuke could use these as well.

You know who you are if you should be writing these. I would love to help wherever I can. I just don't know how much time I will have to actually help write these :3.

Be creative as well. If you are know you are skilled at writing, but not at shooting and you know somebody who is the other way around, set up an interview. That could make for a good article as well. Pair up and co-write an article.

(Did I mention you get a free reserve slot for a month per article :2)

I don't know if there is enough info on one gun to make an article out of it, I think splitting them into gun classes (SMG, Rifles, Scopes etc.) would be more efficient. Can we do video articles?

No CSS has a grand total of maybe 3 articles. Most of them are ra-ra TTP type CSS articles

Gun classes per article would be fantastic. A/V articles would be EVEN BETTER.

It all depends on how detailed you get with said gun. By the time you cover techniques for aiming/firing with an AK at different ranges, include some pics of spray patterns and some videos, and some tactics to use with it while rushing or camping, there could be plenty of information. And considering how different the ak is from the m4, I could very easily see them being separate articles, or combined. Be creative in how you approach it.

I can't find the create new article button if there is one on the articles page... Do I have to PM it to a moderator or am I just failing? Not that I am done with an article, I just want to see the format etc..

Since I started playing CS:S, TTP has been the only place that I have played at other than match server. I guess it would be a good time to give back to the community. I'll try to put together an article for Dust2 defending/attacking since that is one of the most popular map we play and the art of using the shotty and famas article. Space.cowboy nice job of bringing this to the attention of the cs community.
