    water damaged keyboard

Yeah so last night, I happened to spill a glass of water on my keyboard. I immediately unplugged it and shook it until when it appeared that most of the water had come out. After that I hung it upside down so the water leftover could drip out over nite. So, this morning I go to type and it's completely usable for most things, except gaming. A few of my keys on the left hand side of the keyboard work but are sticking (keys including w, a, s, d and ,). My question is: Is there anyway I can undo the stickiness without buying a new keyboard?

    Thanks,
    h.winn

was it water or something with sugar? If its literally sticky you could pop out the keys and scrape the dried kool-aid out .

If it was just water and they don't work you're probably out of a keyboard or should let it dry longer x_x.

You call that sticky stuff "water"? Weird!

Anyways, most keys on a keyboard can be popped in/out of their sockets. Pop 'em out, clean 'em, then put them back in.

I'll catch up to the rest of you noobs... in about 3 or 4 more years.

some keyboards are layered... Plastic(outside casing)/Rubber(Inbetween)/Circuitry.
Usually you can just unscrew the KB and separate the parts, then wash the washable parts...

    Protip- Don't wash the Circuitry.
