Hello
A few of you may know me from your servers, but I just wanted to take the time to show my face in your forum. I'm very new to CSS, started 2 weeks ago, and would like to learn the game quickly to get to competition level. I heard from a few of you that your servers is the best place to start. High level of play is where I would like to be. I'm looking forward to many days gaming with you all. I'm always asking players for advice and tips, so if you've got any important information that I may need to know, you can PM me.
Thanks!

Re: Hello
Hey man, I remember playing with you the other night. Good to see you here :9
Keep on gamin, CSS takes a long time to get good at. But just keep a positive attitude and think more about the team than your own personal score (That's one of my coping mechanisms for not feeling so bad on an off night)
Looking forward to seeing you in game

Re: Hello
Hey guys! Thanks a lot!
I just wanted to share something with you guys before I head out to my design class.... Recently I stumbled across this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MN8Yb...eature=related
Just wondering if making a server and practicing on bots is a solid way to practice? I know that I'm not practicing tactics, but in my opinion this is a great way to practice my aim.
Also, often times on dust I find that I can't see my crosshairs. They are the normal green. Any suggestions?

Re: Hello
Color of crosshairs is really just personal choice. I use green, but red is popular too. It may be hard on certain maps to see them, but that is usually due to your brightness settings. So, turning that down can help.
Instead of the whole bots thing, I'd just play on TTP, or even jump on a DM server. DM is short for deathmatch and it's just a big free for all. Try not to hold down the trigger and practice single click shots or short burst fires.
Another great thing to help out would be your crosshair size. As a new player, I'd set mine to small in the options. You can even manually adjust it in the console to make a custom size (like super small). See you on the servers...
