Covering the bomb is not "stat padding". Covering the bomb after it is planted... is the objective. Those snipers get knifed half the time anyways.

heavy, i was talking about the objective team camping spawn, as was koopa.

staying on the bomb after it is planted should be a golden rule.

I can understand where both of you are coming from. This is just like any other incident that you can be proven guilty or innocent of, it's all about your motives. I personally dont see anything wrong with quickly taking a scout shot down the middle of port as a T as you are running to either bombsite (or wherever the call is) now, if you stay there the whole round that's a bit "fishy" as koop would say. Now Ive played with koop on this map (for and against) and sometimes I thought he was camping and sometimes I knew he was strategically in place to gaurd the bomb. Like I said, it's all in the motive of the person doing it. If the bomb is planted on the correct side of the boat, it can be watched from T spawn by a T, as like wise for the silos, however, if it is NOT, then there is no reason for the T to be in the spawn (he should be running to the bomb in this case) Im not taking either side on this matter, Im just trying to lay out the whole situation. Also, grey, your sigs get more odd everytime i log on

    Yep.

on port, camping T spawn depends on where your team is going and what the other team is doing. i've had sjt ask me to camp the spawn to keep ct's from setting up on the boat while the rest of the team moved up and got the bomb planted. camping t spawn and saying you're covering the silos, however... doesn't sit well with me. you can't see much of the silos from t spawn. unless the bomb is planted in the right spot, you can't even see the bomb. if the bomb is down at silos, it's actually better to camp the pier... but again, it has to be put in the right spot. it's just easier to cover it from the pier; you see more, and it's harder to hit you with the less-accurate guns.

Every Round is different. It always changes... all this is circumstantial, so to be a real spwan camper you have to be dissregarding what your team is doing... staying is spawn even when everyones dead and the bomb is a mile away and your not even looking for it. Ect.

    Since when is it allowed?

Ok.....you can call it what you want but defending the bomb from t spawn on port is an excellent strat not a camp.....period.... :!: If your team is 1/2 way intelligent the bomb will be planted where the sniper can defend it in either site...conversely a good ct team will locate the sniper and take him out while the rest of the team converges on the bomb....the smartest strat...which no one does cuz it would piss too many peeps off is to have the sniper actually perform as he does in real life....with a spotter....with a rifle or sub to take out the peeps trying to kill his partner..... the sniper...now thats real life shit....but as I said way too many peeps would cry "no fair they are camping"...when in reality they are getting the job done efficiently. BTW I have NEVER heard any peeps complain about the CT sniper killing 2-3 t's heading toward the boat....hummmm...what is that you say...he is defending the site....BS...he can't even see the site...and clearly the t's are not headed to the silos....his next move....climb on top of silos and snipe peeps on the boat so that his team has a clear run to the bomb (or do it from the CT's right side).....SMART.... but by definition he is CAMPING a site that he knows (cuz he watched over the middle) no one is headed to....so is this CT camping or defending...should he be punished or praised?? I never seem to hear that argument...so the t's should allow themselves to be sniped over the mid but to return in kind is "fishy" or camping...NOT....
