What is up with the scout

I have been using scout lately and every time I use it. It never registers. I know Hitch talked about registry and hitboxes on previous post. For example today I played at d2 the bomb was afk in spawn so I stopped and make sure I aim at the head shot twice and didn't even hit the guy the second time I crouched. 3rd time it hit the head. So it there any special way to make it hit?

This may be obvious and I don't mean to insult you by asking, but were you crouching while shooting, and holding perfectly still?

yep. this hapened again playing port I was top of silos and tried to hit guy planting. first time nothing second time hit the body by the third time he already planted and I ended up catching him on the right side of boat. the funny thing is when I use awp which is rare but I hit people easily.

awp hits dead on everytime as long as you are not moving. scout doesnt unless you are crouched

Like you said, it always seems to miss. Happens to me all the time.

Hence why I retired my scout for an awp... I feel dirty, but at least it hits where I aim.

yeah there are a few problems with the scout. it may help to know that:

1. you move much faster with it, so you slow down slower. that makes it seem less accurate when you're moving and shooting vs. the awp. this is probably the biggest problem people have with it, without even realizing this is their problem.

2. aim at the neck/chin with the scout for a hs. for some reason if you aim directly at the helmet for a hs, it often misses.

I dont know why you guys are saying that the scout doesn't hit unless crouched... I love that gun because I know that I will be able to hit every time. it takes a good feel. Go to a Death match server and just start practicing with it... You can use it quite aggressively...

For me it just doesn't seem to hit neither standing nor couched. And yes I did a lot of playing on a death match server and all Ive done using it is hit them once and deagle that seems to work good.

not saying it doesnt hit. I'm saying it doesnt hit perfect. it has a small spread if you are standing up. enough for a miss if you aim at the head. but if you aim at the body you wont have a problem with the spread.
