Discussion of tactics
I don't want to argue, debate or fight with anyone about this. I would just like to simply discuss tactics, and what is or isn't allowed.
I had an encounter today, in de_cbble where the T's (which I was on) rushed B. I said to my team, I'll stay in B tunnels to cover flank. After killing one person in the tunnels where it connected to the middle, I picked up his colt and moved to B, planning on covering the door as my position had been compromised. As I rotated to cover this point, I was slain for "not following the call". Had I merely been ignoring what everyone said and going off on my own, I would understand this. But it makes no sense for me to be slain for a tactical decision. Can I have an admin discuss this with me please?

Re: Discussion of tactics
understandable. I said my intentions over voice-chat, but I suppose it could've been confused by the opposing team member that got shot in the back. I was just rather frustrated, and didn't want to argue with the administrator over whether I was doing something wrong. I thought it more logical to come onto forums with a level head and discuss it =)

My thing is to just follow the call otherwise if I'm making the call I make sure I hear the people and communicate with the ones that are covering.

Re: Discussion of tactics
The difficulty is in taking B site, rather than holding tuns. It's best to have everyone rushing B site in case CTs reinforce too heavily, since most of the time on cbble CTs are going to be rotating through connector and not through B tunnels. If B site is taken someone can always drift back and cover tuns... to never come out of tuns is usually tactically dangerous compared to ensuring your team locks down B site and then covering tuns.

More than likely the admin didn't hear you, or if the call was "Everyone rush B" that pretty much says don't sit back regardless if you call it out.

my opinion if you are taking b on cbble there is no point in covering the flank in tuns unless you are the very last person in line. even then i dont see the point. It is much more efficient to have everyone take the site and hold the the 2 choke points.

Re: Discussion of tactics
i think there is a point to having the last guy watch your back.
yesterday, same map, b rush, just as we got into site 5 of us got double tapped by the ct who rushed mid with his p90 because no one watched our back.
i'm not saying they should stray too far, it's better to be close to the action than not. but it's prudent in that rush because ct's can absolutely shoot you in the back quick. similarly we all know it's smart to have someone look b tuns in a b rush to make sure the same doesn't happen on d2 (which it has).
in most other rushes however, i'll cover flank for you = my kdr is more important you.
just my opinion.
ps - speaking of cobble, that last round i played where the ct's had what? 3-4 awps? prime example of that rule needing to be changed.

Re: Discussion of tactics
Im going to bet it was an admin on CT side who slayed you. If he was the only admin on the server (or all admins had ended up on CT) he might have had to make a tough choice. He can not slay you and possibly encourage bad behavior or slay you and hope that he made the right choice. Well done on not raging in the servers (or here) I always find it funny when someone gets kicked or slayed and they get super pissed off...
