Massive CSS update!
COUNTER-STRIKE: SOURCE UPDATE NOW IN BETA
Available immediately, Valve has launched an extensive update to Counter-Strike: Source, now in beta.
The update includes a host of new features and functionality developed in collaboration with Hidden Path Studios. These include 144 new achievements, a new domination and revenge system, player stats, and more.
This beta will run for a limited time, and once complete, the update will be deployed to all Counter-Strike: Source owners for free via Steam.
The dedicated server files are available via the HLDSUpdateTool using "-game cssbeta" in the command line.

Re: Massive CSS update!
If they are truly moving to the OB (which I have no evidence that they are) they could take care of a lot of engine exploits. Lots of ways that servers can be crashed were fixed in the coding of OB.
However, switching to OB would totally break b-hopping, and people would scream and whine and bitch. So my guess is that they are just adding achievements and better server logging (stats and achievement tracking).

Re: Massive CSS update!
How would it break bunny hopping? Air strafing exists in TF2... Anyone who rocket/sticky jumps or uses a scout does it all day long.
As far as the update being massive... seems more like just adding some of the features that have existed in DoD and TF2 for quite some time. If they pull out some official maps too it might bring about a lot more excitement.
