Re: I have a dream.
Most people know I like to complain if I feel the teams are blatantly uneven, but at the same time I ask admins to switch me to the losing team on a pretty regular basis.
Yesterday on Port we got rocked so hard as CT side. The T's had Vafa, Pimp, and quite a few other players in the top 15. For once i didn't complain about it and just tried to win rounds, and it was actually more fun. I think I finished the map barely even in the kpd department but at least I had a good time trying to kill skilled players. I believe 2 of our 4 (?) wins came from my ninja defuses

Re: I have a dream.
The teams are not stacked every map. I know i suck and that i can lose maps for my team. I am not a great player and sometimes communication is the problem. Well part of being a good player is communication. If one team has all the communicators and the other is mute, the teams are stacked. People know what i'm talking about.
Fly, i dont hate season. i don't think that custom maps are one sided. i just hate that instead of learning a new map people will rtv or join the CT side. Ct's have an early advantage on little played custom maps because the calls are not standard, and the map is not as well known as say d2 or pira. The t team cannot be as coordinated when players are asking where is that or how do i get there? The t calls are less in depth and the CT's don't need to learn much to camp sites.
On the issue of playing against good players, and that making you better. this is true. i just wish that instead of giving me a lesson in CSS on the winning team they would come to the losing side and try to help us win, maybe give us some pointers to keep the winners at bay.
Fly, you just admitted to rage stacking CT side on chateau and cbble. Just because you don't like these maps doesn't mean you should always spite the rest of the server and go CT. You think i like to play fucking nuke, cbble, inferno, and lose on the t side because people rage stack the other side to show the server that they shouldn't have voted for a stacked map. How about trying to defeat the stack in the map? Do you think we should just play d2 and season all day?
I don't care if i die. i dont' care if i lose. i want to play in fun and fair fights.
The original intent of this post was to show people that this stacking does happen, and that it is very annoying to me. it makes the game-play very tedious and un-fun.

Re: I have a dream.
Lately I have not had a problem with the stacking (not that there hasn't been any). I try and join the under-skilled or harder team and try to help them beat the stack if there is one. Like Toker, I enjoy going against the better team in order to get better at the game myself. However, there is a limit. If the teams are so stacked that one team doesn't get more than a few wins, the whole game just gets boring, no matter what team I'm on.
I too have noticed the trend of people stacking (both in skill and numbers) the easier side of less commonly played maps, which is probably the main reason why those maps aren't liked: its always so one-sided, even though the map itself is balanced. People need to just learn the maps and play both sides and eventually the map will be liked.
And some maps just suck. I don't care what side I'm on, chateau, port, dust, prodigy, and all cs_ maps just aren't fun because they have serious design flaws. I still play like I normally do in regards to stacking, but you can bet that I'm going to rtv as soon as possible. We can do better.

Re: I have a dream.
I could not agree more on the RTVing of custom maps. MAN THE FUCK UP AND PLAY THEM.
I got real excited when cpl fire came up one day, and we only got through 5 round because of the RTVing. Sometimes I wish the CSS servers were a strict rotation so the usual three maps (d2, piranesi and cbble) don't come up and a variety of maps are played, but that might be the BF2 server in me talking... Season is the only breath of fresh air that seems to get played often. The team stacking thing hasn't been too bad when I am on, I think people have to understand there will always be a loser in some cases. Sometimes a team competes well with the other one, but just cannot pull off a win. When an admin is on, they do a great job of making a terrible team better, ensuring competitive games.

Re: I have a dream.
No I don't think we should play D2 all day. I do go T on most maps. And I actually use to hold over 70% T joins, however recently I decided not to go T every single map. I despise Aztec and Cbbl for the fact that they are CT sided. Does that mean I never go T on those two maps? No. I play CS has a stress relief, not to sit and bitch to the T's on a CT sided map that they can't follow a call because its to complicated, or that they can't push because they are to big of stat whores, etc, etc, etc... the list goes on. As I said... CS is my way of relieving stress, not adding it. It has nothing to do with me trying stat whore, or whatever. I want to win the map with my team. It's not "rage stacking", it called not wanting to rage quit. Take it for what its worth...
Look at Pira for example. Do you consider it a T sided map? It can be very balanced, but most of the time the CT's have a hard time holding their own. I go CT and T on the map all the time. So am I rage stacking? No... And btw Nuke is a good map...
