Thread: ROAST : YuNg/PaBZ

I have contacted Yung on his in game play style before, so he knows how I feel, but it was not out of disrespect. My concerns come more from a TPG perspective, rather than from me individually as a player. TPG needs new connects, new players, and new registered members, and I am witness to the fact that Yung's play style scares them off, understandably. I would just hate to think that players connect to the server, and then never come back because they don't "know" him like all us regs do. Everyone at TPG knows we run a tight ship, and have no tolerance for nonsense, asshats and bullshit. But at the same time, no one likes to be bullied, and I personally don't see a need for it. But that's just me . . . I, and others, seem to do just fine trying to lead a team with positivity (sometimes), encouragement and guidance rather than degrading, belittling/name calling and rage. But again, that's just me.

I respect the fact that you started this thread Yung, even if you don't plan on changing (nor would I expect you to). I just think there are other ways to point people in the right direction, and as Teamplayers sometimes we need to be flexible in our approach, because no two players are the same. Yes, there is a time for being harsh, but there is also a time to teach people about our way of gaming. And in a lot of cases, they truely want to learn. Some people need the iron fist to get the message, but some people do not. I'm not saying you're wrong in your play style, but what I am saying is that at times it seems a little premature. IMO everyone should consider evolving, because what worked years ago, may not work as well today. I can definitely attest to that.

If people stuck around when ...BD... was on, they'll stick it out with Yung's style....

I can deal with Yung's yelling and criticism but he should give off a friendly warning i'm going to yell at you for not following the call but high five.........

But at the end of the day, you are a BIG pussycat and only a few people know that. You went from total nooblet in 05 to a dangerous player who always gives me a good challenge anytime we play against each other. I know that people give you a hard time, and maybe you should listen to them. You have the highest expectations for everyone, but in truth you are in the top 5% of most skilled players. That other 95% need encouragement and who better than z3do7 or pabz or drunkryder or swagamazzzing or klutch...or WHOEVER THE HELL YOU ARE!
