CS:S Multiplayer Networking Explained
For those of you who are curious how CS:S determines if you hit someone or not and general CS:S networking topics, I found this article and thought it was a great read. It is pretty long but if you are interested in this type of stuff it goes quickly with some really good information.

Ah yes. I stumbled across this article a couple of weeks ago when trying to get my rates back to normal after the update. An excellent read, some of it seemed like technical mumbo jumbo to me, but most of it got across. I think it's cool how they talk about how the server sends the player you are shooting back in time per say so that your hit registers, to compensate with the player to server to player lag. That seems extreme to me, but clearly necessary.
