Received a supposed automated message from Steam...
So, I receive a chat invitation today from, supposedly, Steam.
Here's what each paragraph said:
Though not the best source, according to Wiki .tk domain names are for a territory in New Zealand called Tokelau (source). The .tk domain name is also a domain name for a redirected/url forwarded website (see here).
As such, I don't trust this at all. It's asking for a username and password and the user "::" has a private steam page.
Perhaps this is obvious to some people but I figured I would run it by you guys anyway...
EDIT: The website that was linked has been reported for web forgery. Guess I was right.

Don't do it!
Valve/Steam already knows your shit, they don't need you to give it to them.
GIVE YOUR STEAM PW TO NO ONE!
Don't even go to any of the links he sent you!
And the fact that your account getting used from multiple IP sources which is against the steam subscriber agreements makes no sense . . . scammers are getting lazy these days.Last edited by Fajita!; 08-11-10 at 09:11 PM.
