RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: scrim - help
You need to change your Direct X level, the way that works best is to put it in the command line or even better in an AutoExec instead of putting it in console. If memory serves Z-Block requires 8.1 or higher, what are you using and why?
If you want to put it in your Auto Exect type one of these (whats in the quotes). if you don't have an auto exec, well all you need to do is make a text file and type one of the below commands in it and then rename it autoexec, you will need to change the file extention to .cfg so if you haven't already go to the "tools" tab in any folder and then go to "folder options" click on "view" tab and uncheck "hide known file extension" then change it from .txt to .cfg
"mat_dxlevel 81" for DirectX 8.1
"mat_dxlevel 90" for DirectX 9.0
I highly sugjest 9.0 unless you have a computer that is old as dirt.
If you want to put it in your command line you right click on CSS in steam and go to...the options tab I think and then put one of the following values in (whats in the quotes still), that will make it boot up in whatever version of DX.
"-dxlevel 81" for DirectX 8.1
"-dxlevel 90" for DirectX 9.0
Best of luck.
ps: wow young, such a pre-mature illconcieved noob calling entirly inverts the noob acusation upon yourself.
