Hey, if you are using a droid (and have unlimited data), you can tether your phone to the computer. It will be like 100 kb/s, but still better than nothing.

My guess is that there is one company that has an internet monopoly on the entire post? Make sure you call around to the places that are off post. I ended up finding a DSL provider off post that was 1000 times faster then the shitty cable I had in the B's.

maybe you've got a nice neighbor with wireless? I ended up just bumming off my neighbor for the 2 weeks it took the cable company to set my stuff up.

hrmpf, check local competition. Dunno where you live may be fifo (which is cheaper than cable). If nothing else raise hell with your cable company and threaten to move to dsl or sat from another company.

I am on base, Midcontinent is the only provider out here, and all my neighbors have secured wifi(first thing I checked :P) On the plus side, after discussing a few things with the wife, we might get cable back this upcoming weekend.

Like maybe the data plan for the Droid you have.

We don't have any household bills other than cable, we live on base, everything is paid for. The phone plan is under my wife's family plan, I'm not sure if its unlimited or not. I can access the internet with it, ill try to teather it this weekend if I can't get cable by then. But I highly doubt I'll be able to play cs with it. I appreciate the support everyone :P

Military issue items are something I have plenty of, any bidders?
