Thread: 3rd Pub Server

2. We had 3 and one was almost always empty. Having 2 makes it almost a necessity to have a reserved slot during prime time to get in a server. Having 15-22 die hard teamplayers in each server is what makes TPG what it is.

Agreed with Civil. Though I was not around when there was three TPG servers I would assume that three would be too much. Other than prime time hours the servers are rarely full. A thrid server would only be filled with the non-reservists who were trying to get into the other two servers. Going hand in hand with what I just said, it would also be another server to try to prime which would be to much. Priming the second server can be hard as it is.

Always,good points Civil .I`m new and don`t have the knowledge some of you have.I see that some other communites have custom maps only servers etc,reservist only servers ,teamdeathmatch servers and hell even those damn 1 map servers .I was just curious and as always you guys are great mentors.
Funny I wonder why some of these communites think it is wise to throw so many damn servers up and not have the population to fill them.Kinda like having servers up in a game that no one plays is it not.

Yeah, over time TTP/TPG has tried gun game servers, custom map servers, regular, top 5, etc, and nothing has ever really worked out to keep all 3 populated.

I believe if we could make the GG server, with GG maps, be the prep server (no stats no reserve slots)-- IE the other two are almost always full .. it would be a great idea. We just need about 60 more regulars to make it happen. Morb this is your calling, to get people to come here to the forums. Register. Love the TPG style of things to revisit multiple times a week. The more people we bring in the better. And your hopes for a 3rd server will be true at hand.

PS: you really need to meet Dogfart morb, I think you two would fall in man-love. He's a really good guy and you remind me of him.

Back when it was hip and happening. All the cool guys played it, Me and Quick would fight for top place(that's right I was that good...), BW would think he was good(hahah), and no gravity teleporting fun with Mafia in Gg_pools .
