Am I an AWP whore?

I would give the 'win' award to someone who actually uses the weapon and doesn't manage to whore with it.
Looks like that would be toeknee and scotty. Both have over 1500 kills with it and accounts for less than 5% of their kills.

Just sayin', not whoring with something you basically never use isn't exactly self control. That's more along the lines of abstinence.

i just wanna throw it out there that i think it's ok to awp in some situations where you are severely losing on an unfavored side.

like... T side... on cbble... when the score is 10-0 or something like that.

there was a mod that restricted the awp for the winning side, one team had to be down 3 or more rounds and could awp all they wanted. then when they caught back up it was restricted for both sides.

The CTs will just counter-awp and then Ts are even more in the hole.

As to the mod, I'd prefer both teams to have awps or neither. The AWP shouldn't be used in the place of team balancing. I can see it now: "Sweet, we're down by 3 rounds, let's buy awps and they won't be able to counter-AWP us." 7 rounds later, the other team does the same.

Then you go from 10-0 to 10-7. I think winning 7 rounds in a row counts as not technically losing anymore.

Besides if your team can't get wins unless you awp, then you're not communicating enough or your doing something wrong.

I brought this up many moons ago, the counter arguement is all the awpers will keep swapping teams just to awp. Idk if that's what would happen or not, but it was more drama that they didn't want to get into.

there is a downside no matter which way you look at it. This would just be one possible way to allow the awp to not be abused by a winning team when an admin is not present to restrict it.

Im 411/20,778 (2%) barely use it, but im not one of those that tend to complain about it (Find ways to kill the awper instead of running into their cross hair
