This was the first white christmas I have seen in 6 years. Sure, it was nice and pretty seeing 2 feet of snow, and negative degree weather up here in The North Pole(Minot, ND). But I hate it, I'll take 70 degrees and sunny for christmas any day...

Hahaha. This weather/climate is for some people. They absoluetly love it, and couldn't imagine being elsewhere. But that's because they probably haven't been anywhere else. Which is fine, I'm glad, to each his own... that means less people in florida where I'd like to be
I've spent 18 winters in michigan, and I hated every one of them. I could live the rest of my life without seeing another one with a smile on my face. Bah, humbug!

Re: For those who get on today
Meh....It's all how you look at it.
I would take a Midwestern Winter over a Summer in the South/Desert (Arizona/NM). You can always put another layer on, but you can only take so much off.
The most important thing is to not shut yourself in all Winter. Get out....and do things. Ice fishing (and for those who haven't pulled a 30" Northern Pike through a 10" hole...it's a rush) , snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, skiing, camping (yes...camping), and just general screwing around outside. Go find a cheesehead, and openly mock him(Thorson).... I enjoy the Hell out of Winter, and couldn't imagine going a whole year without skating outside. It's all with how you deal with it....just, I'm sure like it is in the South in the Summer.
