Influx of New Players

Hey, I am noticing the last couple of days there have been ALOT of people new to the game playing on the servers. This probably has something to do with the steam sale. I post this because it has been ultra mega frustrating for me. Yesterday morning/afternoon I made Problem Player Reports for about 5 different people. I think it turns out about half of them are ok people playing by the rules now, so maybe they just needed to take some time to adjust. Others were just the standard "I am not doing that, this is a pub." jackass. I think without an admin on its a little more difficult to get people to play by the rules and explain to them that a certain style of play is expected, but as regs we should be trying really hard to help them get with the program. Either way, I figured I would just let everyone know about my observation, and if you do come across some of these guys/gals just try to explain to them what the deal is. I am going to try my best to maintain patience and not flip out on anyone. It does none of us any good to scare away potential new TPG regs.

I too have noticed a lot of new players playing on the servers. Just as Brock said we all need to help out and keep our cool when guiding these new players. Good observation and post Brock.

Yeah just remember that everyone here was one the FNG at TTG/TTP once upon a time. Help these new guys to learn the ways of TPG and be as helpful as you can. The regs represent what TPG is and you guys are just as big of an image of TPG as well, so represent TPG proudly with these new guys.

Yes, this is true. Help guide them to become the best TPG player they can be. Also tell them to join on the forums and look around to see what else we offer.

me too. I'd love to harvest these nublets to make fine tpgers but that's a lot of time and effort! Like Brock I'm gettin pretty impatient here

Great observation, Brock. I've noticed this as well, but overall I think it's definitely a good thing that more players are finding out about the greatness that is TPG. Like you said, we all just need to be patient and do the best we can to play the game right. The noobs will come around, and if they don't, an admin will eventually take care of them.

Other than that, welcome to TPG all you new players.
