Re: Promoting TPG CSS
The best place to promote TPG is right in the servers. New faces come/go every single day. It's just a matter of encouraging people to come back again, as well as visit the forums. More easily said than done during an intense session, but I am sure there are at least a few of you that stayed/came back because of what they saw, or what someone said to you while in game at TPG for the first time.
I am amused, positively, when I see this thread and a "Influx of new players" thread almost right next to each other.
"If you like what you see here, come to TeamPlayer Gaming - The Front Page, they host plenty of other games too", one simple way to get people to the forums, mention that CSS isn't the only game we host.

I totally agree Grey I imagine 1 out of every 5 will stay. I am still fairly new to this CSS and with my curious mind I`m always looking into the sky.ADynamic community that adapts to change and explores with wisdom and patience will always keep the masses amused and excited but tempers it with a non changing devotion to the community`s interest will always keep it strong.Unlike other communities I have seen that are ran by guys that just like being admins and being the special one complex TPG is wonderfully unique diffenetly the best promotion is good attitudes from it`s community.
Yet the curious cat that I am what other ideas do you all have to promote TPGCommunity in CSS.
Me I like to see more Community made materials and projects .For example TPG Hud GUI,skins, maps etc
We have some great map makers that I believe if we all support and encourage can design some beautiful art and reflect the dedication we all have for TPG together.
More options of gameplay styles that incorporates the interest of the community so users do not have to leave the protective and nice enviroment that TPG supported servers have instead of going to nonsupported areas to play another form of CSS gameplay.
No matter where your at or what game your playing your personality makes you a teamplayer, not the game .Last edited by Morbx Core; 01-02-11 at 02:40 PM.

I've seen a lot of servers have a little info news bar that scrolls or pops up on the screen that says stuff like, "Come visit us at....." I think this would be a good idea because a lot of the new players don't even realize we have a forum. Obviously we wouldn't have it pop up every round, but every once in a while.

Re: Promoting TPG CSS
Not sure if we have one, but maybe we should look into getting an IRC channel made? IRC still is very popular and has many functions in the CS and CSS world. Then perhaps once this channel is made and we promote the IRC channel on IRC and even outside IRC it could help lead to/promote Manno's idea about the 10 v 10 matchs.

Re: Promoting TPG CSS
The simplest way to promote TPG CS:S, is by making a priming group, if there isn't one already:
Steam Community :: Group :: Texas...TeamPlayers...DoD:S Corps

Well aren`t the resident clans same as priming groups ? Personalily I wish we could get some of you regs to consider applying to some of TPG`s resident clans or in general create scrim teams by doing this we could organize more events for say and have a more focused league or ongoing tournament option to our community.
I know there are cevo and all those other communities, leagues and tournaments (not sure what they are all called I only play css at tpg)out there that some of you play in outside the TPG community but if we all try and lay the wood down there is no reason why the TPG community can not have it`s on ongoing stuff so we can keep it all in the family.
Another option Hell if 5 of you non clan members are competitive then group up make a team and challenge a resident clan .No reasona scrim teams must be a clan ,if you thirst for a more competitive TPG I`m am sure thier our options for you.
Promote the event make a thread let other see the results lets make it a party .Last edited by Morbx Core; 01-07-11 at 09:05 AM.
