Challenge for the Regulars
I have been playing on TPG CSS servers for a couple months now, usually it is during the day when I am not too busy at work and have noticed a problem. So lately I have been trying to play a little at night to see if the issue I see during the day is happening at night.....well it is.
So here is what I want to Challenge ALL of the regulars on the CSS servers. I know if an admin is on then it is their job to take care of this but if an admin is not on then I want all of the regulars to try EVEN the teams skills wise. It happens just about every single day where one side is stacked and I do see this having an negative effect on the server when it happens. Basically players start leaving because they get frustrated. Yes I know what most of you will say is step up and take control and all of that other stuff that normally gets said when someone post something similar to what I am talking about.
Sometimes it only takes one player to make a change in the outcome and sometimes it will take more but it will only take the first player to make a move to make the difference. i don't know about you but I personally like a match where it is 14 vs 15 for the final score, to me it means each side was truly fighting for the final win.
So who will step up and take on this challenge? Speak up and be heard!! Let others know you are the better player and will help the losing team.Last edited by Gunny; 02-03-11 at 04:52 PM.

Re: Challenge for the Regulars
admins get upset when you switch teams. atleast with me. when i am on the winning team, and we are winning by 10-0, i switch to the other side to help them out but the admin ends up putting me back on the team i was on and gives me a warning and usually tells me "Let the admins balance the teams." i am not trying to offend any of the admins but i completely agree with you gunny but it seems to be a rule to let the admins balance the teams.

I autoassign 85% of the time and even if I don't I really don't see the need to switch unless I'm auto switched or an admin switches me. I'm really not that good and I'd probably hurt a team by stacking it (when it counterbalances). So I just let someone who knows what they're doing switch. (Example: I've seen someone take over shot calling after getting switched and take the team to a winning streak..not a lot of people can do this.) I'm probably not just speaking for myself here, either.
PS: Another way to balance the teams is to change up the non-regs, which is what admins do a lot of the time.Words are only limited to the effable, while the indescribable is merely found within ourselves.

I ALWAYS go on the team I think is weaker. >_> Reason why stats suck, and I get no respect. -_-.

This is an interesting point. I have a few things to add. First, it's always best to let the admins balance the teams. If you know that there are admins in the server, don't switch teams yourself because if the admins already tried to balance the teams it causes issues. The best bet is to just type in admin chat that you volunteer to switch teams if you think you can help them out. If an admin sees fit to swap you, great.
Now in the instance that you know for certain that there are no admins in the server, which I hope would be rare, then a reg from the winning team should definitely step up and switch. We need to challenge ourselves, and each other, to be better teamplayers.

i actually use a space after the @
maybe it's different for different people? or maybe both work?
i usually type "@ testing" to test it firstI broadcast gaming videos on Twitch TV and my finished videos are on YouTube! Recently I shoutcasted the Counter Strike Tournament at PAX Prime 2012!

Re: Challenge for the Regulars
i agree. but in the past.. when i try to even the teams myself, i make someone upset. i try to join the hardside and let the admins control the switching of skill.. can't make everyone happy.. just hold people of skill accountable for the stacking and call them out everytime.
