Allright, I picked up CS:S just today and installed it. I played a few rounds and I feel retarted, having no idea what I'm doing. So far I just fallow people around and get owned. Andy help would be appreceated.

Well, keep following your team until you get the hang of it. Completely different from DoD and BF, I know.

At first I was just target practice, then after a few map changes I had one kill before I died, very differnt from BF2

Buy a mic if you don't already have one. Use it consistently to communicate with the team. Be a teamplayer and everything else will fall into place.

    Don't do that, haha.

Welcome to the game, faisjdas! Objectives are the main goal here, so stick with your team and defend/attack the bombsites/hostages, depending on the map.

If I had to hazard a guess as to why many players have difficulty adjusting to CS, it's probably due to the quick fights, and the random weapon recoil. It takes some time before you get use to the feel of the game, especially in Source. Once you begin to understand the weapons and how to use them, you'll be able to survive the initial firefight and play longer into each round. You'll get the basics down soon enough.

Be sure and read bigdog's post regarding some important map information, found here. If you have any other questions, or would like to learn more, be sure to ask. I could possibly take some of the information that's already out there and tweak it around to make an in-depth guide for beginners if needed, seeing that there have been a few people who have recently thought about or have already purchased CS:S here at TTP.

Once again -- welcome and hope to battle with you soon, faisjdas.

I have played with you on BF2 and it is good to see u in CSS....Just as in BF2 map knowlege is a HUGE asset but unlike BF2 you do not have an overview screen (unless you die) and you do not re-spawn (once you die you wait out the map...3 min. rounds) so knowing what "the call" is, where the "bomb site" is, and where the "hosties" are is key. Kinda like in BF2 the squad leader says "take out the artillary, cap the flag at XXX, etc... here you may hear go long A or rush back stairs....follow the crowd of people not the lone wolf...they dont last long here (unless they specifically call out the reason). Take your lumps (dieing), as I'm sure you did in BF2, and I'm sure you will enjoy this faster paced game. As SAM said get a mic..it will enhance your play drastically....do not give up...this game is much easier to learn than BF2. .
