p90 is a hated but respected gun. People often call me demeaning names when I use the p90. I love it. " Tink you're such a douche, only bitches use the p90." - Oh i'm sorry, I couldn't hear you over the excessive crying of my 38 victims.

Also the ump is underestimated. you can get some dirty head shots and it's pretty wicked for spraying. A very accurate weapon indeed.

My biggest tip (and pet peeve) is . . .

PLAYING THE BOMB

Everyone wants to win, but there's more than one way to win than by shooting the entire enemy team dead. Also, because of this, people tend to peek & try to get picks when if they JUST STAYED HIDDEN, they'd win the round instead of getting shot & losing. Situational Awareness!

I'm not sure how people know exactly how much time is left on the bomb timer (I sure don't), but I'll allow the CT to get on the bomb & then wait about 2 seconds (always assume they have a kit) & peek, if they're on the bomb, take the shot, if not, fall back, rinse, repeat.

If you feel like you want to peek while defending the planted bomb . . . DON'T! Wait until there's someone on the bomb, then just shoot at them to get their attention, if they're not defusing, they're losing, if they're shooting at you, you're winning. Take a shot to kill, if it doesn't, then fall back, do not get into a drawn out shoot out unless the timer is already too late.

If none of that makes any sense, then think about it like this, if it was your bomb that was planted, wouldn't you want it to explode vs kill all the players (+3pts vs +1pt)? Even if it the bomb goes off, you do not get a death on your score, and the only thing you lose is your weapons.

Always be within earshot of the bomb to hear defuse attempts or pickups (if CT). Back in my 1.6 days, we used to drop our pistol & pick it up to fake out the CTs thinking we picked up the bomb.

Try to plant the bomb in the open so it offers no cover for the CTs defusing. If it offers you cover while planting, it will offer them while defusing.

TLDR: SITUATIONAL AWARENESS

(FYI: Situational Awareness is something you can apply to real life!)

If the bomb is afk, and your team is rushing, you had 2 choices.

Turn around and slow play
OR
Rush in like a badass and kill all them bitches, cause after all this is a shooting game, you have 10, they have 11, kill them all.

In public servers I don't play with crosshairs. Helps you learn how to control your spray and your snap shots. Also keeps you from focusing on the crosshair when aiming, better situational awareness ya dig?

Single clicking when firing also helps.

HAVE FUN! Set goals for yourself in public servers. i.e. spraying at every opportunity, deag only, no scope scout only etc. It'll help you relax and enjoy the game when you're ready to get down to business.

LISTEN! Learn what it sounds like when someone runs across cat on season and stops at box. Then when you've got it down, turn and prefire the hell out of it.

Learn the important CVARs and adjust them to fit your computer specs and your network speed.

SAVE round 2 and 3 if you lose the pistol round.

SAVE = Deagle + kit + flash + nade at MOST. SMG or Shotgun is NOT a save.

If you WIN pistol round, do NOT buy RIFLES, buy a shotgun or SMG round 2.

If you are defusing the bomb and it's at the point where if you stop defusing your team has absolutely no chance to lose the round, and you see a T that is going to shoot you, DO NOT STOP DEFUSING.

There's always a chance that he will miss a bunch, or have registration issues, or get confused for that critical second, or time out, or have his mouse fall on the floor, or have his internet go out, or find out that his chair is really the bucket of a giant catapult that hurls him across the city. You won't know until you are dead. What you DO know is that if you stop defusing to get a kill (and avoid getting a death on your precious K

) that you don't have time to defuse and that your team has lost the round.

In my mind that is a blatant choice by a player to sacrifice the last hope his team had so that he could get 1 more kill and 1 less death. When people do it my respect for them plummets.

The awp is a rocket launcher, not a sniper. You CAN rush with it, this isn't bf or some realistic shooter where you NEED to camp like a slut to snipe. Grow some balls and rush with your team, it's people like YOU who give AWP-ing a bad name, and now we can't AWP cause of you.
