Re: Post a tip to improve the skill of the community
Here's another one, 80% (rough estimate) people here want to play for fun, and to win is a bonus. I doubt anyone plays to suck, so we all have small advices to give a lot of times, if you are dying by doing something, try something else, try listening to that team mate, chances are he / she is tryna help you.

Fine line there. Generally bait CT side isn't about rushing. You'll see a few holding a position and one keeping hidden until the other team mate dies. In some positions it makes sense. In others it is baiting.
Tip:
A CT team that decides to rush as a winning tactic better damn well have communication. Otherwise I see this as hyper play that isn't even worth merit. Mad Mardigan comes to mind, and no offense, because your style is quite successful for kills -- but without reason a CT team rushing is a potential hole. You can say "But I get flank kills like Mad!", and still fail to actually shut down the objective. I see this tactic fail too often. You are better off with communicating and pounding against the rock. (The T Rush)

Greyvee, those were 2 seperate points, sorry for not putting space between em.
I honestly don't like rushing as a CT team, playing aggressive on the other hand is ok.

Slow plays don't mean you just camp and wait for the cts to rush. They mean you aggressively take control of the choke points in the map and then make a coordinated push after getting picks at one site. Ts on D2 shouldn't sit outside B tuns on a slow play, they should get in the tunnels and jump on the box to push short. They should work middle, try to work up short and slowly take control of A or B site.
They should not just sit back for two minutes and slowly get picked off and then have the survivors rush to their deaths. They only thing you accomplish in that situation is wasting everyone's time.

Good tip Fajita, I said this once before, but this is the most important tip for TPG imo.
When someone is calling for a long time, and you are winning, don't step in trying to be a smart ass, let him finish it. EVEN IF you lost the last 3 rounds, and it's 12 - 6 now.
Most strat callers have tricks up their sleeves, and some play mind games, cash or even spawn games. And TPG has some proper callers, have faith. As a player, do your job and kill the other team.

here's my tip 'o day:
when it comes to slow play, do exactly as fajita says with one exception. take advantage of what i'll call "the long A effect" on D2. the long A effect is a phenomenal force no ordinary CT can resist, in which they are compelled to do several detrimental things in succession that quickly bring about their demise. the best thing about it, is that you have to do nothing to bring it about. i mean absolutely nothing.
1. no matter how many CT's go long A, after ~30 seconds - 1minute go by with no action, 50%-75% will leave long A to go pick mid, run up short, respond to someone who says "B-tuns" or fulfill some other ridiculous personal endeavor.
2. whomever remains at long A, will eventually get curious if and only if no one gives them a reason to otherwise think a T is trying to pick them.
3. this will eventually lead them to go look at DD, then move into DD room, and if they still don't see a T, yes, they will absolutely come out to look around just like punxsutahwney phil, the gopher.
that means if you play your cards right as a T by staying out of sight, by the time about 1:30 has passed, all the long A CT's will either be dead, or gone... save maybe one, solo smartass that told everyone not to do what they did anyway.
long A is yours.
all my other tips are given in game, with passion

Manno you sneaky bastard, good tip.
On slow plays, use a smoke and send 2 people to push PAST the smoke.
Meaning: Smoke up mid and push to cat. Fairly simple? Yeah, see what happens, you will always draw out tons of nades, and if you get 1-3 picks, guess what your team can take the site.

Re: Post a tip to improve the skill of the community
I think it's been said at least once on this thread, but play the bomb. When I say play the bomb, I don't mean pile around it in predictable spots. I mean play to defend the bomb. Somebody questioned me pushing out of a choke point to defend the bomb last night, which was intentional. I wanted to protect two entry points at once while covering a single choke. I missed my shot (he didn't even see me first) and died. The other teammate should have seen 14 seconds left on the clock and hidden instead of trying for the pick in the open. We lost. Maybe I could have played more conservative, but if we were both stacked on top of the bomb a single nade could have taken us both out.
Being quiet, playing in a sneaky spot where you can hear the bomb pickup and cover a site to prevent a plant or maybe even let them plant but know you can take back easily is key. Work the clock. Play the bomb.
Oh well. I think we're getting into the nuances of camping the bomb itself literally vs. maintaining contact with the bomb and the enemy at the same time in a strategic fashion. Think about it.
