Going through World of Warcraft Withdrawal...

Alright guys after 6 years I have gone cold turkey on WoW. Over the course of those years I wasted countless time, energy and about $2200.00. I have to admit I am going through the jitters, sweats, sleeplessness and nightmares of post addiction as you would with any other drug.

Anyone gone through this before? Or am I the only pathetic duck in the room?

Good luck. I am sure that there more than a few ex-WOW players that can assist.

I used to play a lot (mostly beginning of wrath to about a month ago), but i just got really bored of it. Bored with leveling (6 85s, 82, 80, couple others), bored with raiding and bored with pvp.

I didnt go through much as far as withdrawal goes, just that i miss talking to a few people i always played with.

I played 1 day of WoW.... That one day made me realize that the only type of games I like to play involve shooting people. The end.

I just quit a couple of months ago after playing since beta. I just got bored...I've literally done everything worth doing - I was a warlord in vanilla, raided through Naxx, killed everything in a top 500 guild in BC, Gladiator in BC(not as a restodrood either), cleared all WotLK content and got gladiator on a couple different toons. Cata looks cool and all but I don't like alot of the changes and as I said earlier...I'm just flat out bored. And with a kid onboard I no longer had the time to sit down and do the things in WoW that I consider fun. I will admit It was rough at first. I didn't know what to do with all the extra time I had. I haven't been a hardcore raidersince Sunwell(I semi-hardcore for Icecrown) and even without that it took up a ton of time. I didn't all the withdrawal symptoms you're talking about but I was irritated alot. I'm always sleepless so no changes there.

I was playing Lineage 2 when WoW came out, and found WoW too carebear. Even the PvP servers didn't do it for me. If they ever come out with a Lineage 3, I'm signing up!

I played WoW a lot in 08-09, some in 10. I loved every min of it, and cherish playing WoW, was some good times. But I can not play that again.
Australian-I feel for ya bro gaming on a piece of shit you should be twice as good at any game you play. Thats really really a scary thought. Part of me does not want you to get a new rig.
