The A only rule....does it exist

I looked at your CSS server rules and found nothing of sorts regarding the A only rule when there is less than 5 people. Now i don't have a problem with A only in most scenarios....but for today as example the T's were outnumbered 4-3 on dust2 and we were broke and they were AWPing ..which left us at a considerable disadvantage considering the size of the map. After several rounds of dying i planted B so we could actually get some guns to which upset the people who were enjoying the advantage of camping in A with a teamate and gun advantage.......SO the question is...is this a "real" rule...or a "gentlemans rule"?

No rule. It's simply an agreement among players in the server at the time.

Ya its a gentlemans rule, Ive had people get mad at me for calling both sites when its 4on4 IMO u can spilt the sites 2ways its not a big deal and ive never had a problem playing that way till recently when people started bitching at me for it.

As they said, it's not rule. However, I will say that neither side should be awping until it's 5v5. You're trying to fill the server, not empty it.

Also, if it's agreed upon by both sides to go A only, until it's 5v5...and you go B...that's a dick move, in my opinion.

As they said it's just a courtesy. I'm not sure who came up with it(maybe me?), but basically until you have 5v5 both sites is incredibly hard to defend with less people than that. There is generally more action therefor more fun just playing one site.

It's a gentleman's rule and common courtesy not to awp or go to the 2nd site when it's less than 5v5, but if you decide to, all people can do is calling you names. :P

My favorite is that people mostly on Dust2 hear A only and think of that as Long A only, if you're playing A only you can do anything as long as you plant A.

Yup, even go as far as B tunnel to B site to mid to CT spawn to A. That usually surprises the CT's.
