New to Counter Strike: Source
Hello, I first found your server last night and I liked how everyone was trying to communicate and work together so I decided to try it again during the day. Unfortunately due to my lack of knowledge of the game (controls, calls, use of keys (I didn't even know there was a separate key to talk to your own "team", and etc.) I became more of a liability than an asset to my team, which made no qualms about letting me know this via threats to be banned and etc. I was very upset and said some inappropriate things because I was not used to being talked down to in such a manner and so as a defense mechanism I acted accordingly. For that I am very sorry.
So after a while everyone left the server, and I decided to use that time to get to know the map and try to copy things that I saw others doing while I was spectating such as understanding the value of vantage points, knowing what is true cover vs "just hiding behind a box or an area where a veteran player would already know where to check first". I then realized that since I was coming from playing FPSs on console (mostly on Ps3) that I just simply needed to unlearn everything from that and I needed to commit myself to learning how to play CSS to prepare for CS:Go. Granted I am not a vet who has been playing since the first release, but someone who literally got into this game a few weeks ago (I usually let my friends play it on my comp) I understand that there is limited patience for new players of the game. However if I stay here and try to learn from the tutorials I think my being a liability will turn around.
I look forward to playing with you all. If there are any tips you can share, please feel free to leave them here. I'll also be checking out the tutorials or lessons if you have them. Thank you for your time and have a nice day.

welcome to TPG!
played with you today and you were doing fine on chateau.
I saw on season you were getting some flak from your team. don't worry though, some people take games too seriously (and get mad when they're losing), they look for others to blame for losses and they'll harshly criticize if they think you did something wrong...
ignore the rude comments and try to have fun

sup
we play the best kind of counter-strike there is, but it is a little challenging to pick up and some of us will talk down to you because of that. When you're in, you'll have a damn good game of competitive counter-strike, though. Don't be afraid to get on the mic and call a strategy after you've seen how some of the objective strat-callers work a map.Words are only limited to the effable, while the indescribable is merely found within ourselves.

Most people that play in the CSS server and also post on the forums won't belittle you for being lower skilled or new to the game as long as you show a willingness to learn and help your team.
Ask questions, learn from others when spectating, stick with your team, and do your best. Knowledge and skill will follow. We can do better.

There's much to be said about that, "knowledge and skill will follow". As it says on the box of this game, your experience will surely increase, and try sometimes when you play on our servers to think of it as a learning experience. You'll learn a lot, no matter your intentions. Unfortunately I've got a lot of sht to do right now so I can't expand too much on it, but it's true. If you are open to learning, you will.
Words are only limited to the effable, while the indescribable is merely found within ourselves.
