Thread: Day of Defeat: Source D-Day Invitational

In honor of those that lost their lives on June 6, 1944, we will be hosting a Day of Defeat: Source D-Day competition. This will be the first of many ongoing competitions we plan on hosting.

When: Saturday, June 2, 9:00pm Central
Where: Our Match Server (74.52.41.163:27016)
Map: Strand

Here are the rules:

1. Signups will be first come, first serve. We will have a total of 24 players, 12 on each team. The teams will be chosen through random lottery. Once there are enough signups, the lottery results will be posted. Once the signup list is full, remaining players will be placed on a reserve roster.

2. Team Captains will be nominated and voted on by each team.

3. Weapons classes will be restricted.

4. Players that do not show up will be replaced by the next available player on the reserve list. No-show players will also be uneligable for the next competition.

5. The OGL config will be used. There will be two, 20 minute halves. Each team will have to compete one half as Axis and the other half as U.S.

6. Scoring will be as follows: U.S. will recieve 50pts for each round won (detonating all points). Axis will recieve 50pts for each round won (defending for time duration). These victory points will be added to the regular scoring points to determine which team is the winner.
