New music?

Can we get some new music for the server?

Personally, I'm not a fan of country.

the server has a LOT of music......it's just not activated to play as of now. We will be adding songs to each map, so admins can play them for clients (like we already are doing on the CS server).

If you've noticed a them......all of the songs say something about texas. (except for the bon jovi one......but whatever). If you can find some good candidates for MOTD songs.....bring it on.

but they have to be recognizable, memorable, and say texas. The entire clip can't be longer than ......30 seconds or so.

We catch a lot of flak about the MOTD sounds. (the same MOTD is played on both DoD and CS). But honestly........I think it's more important that it's memorable, makes you laugh, or has you cry out, sing along, smile, wahtever.

We have tons of other songs to play, in game, that are for the rocking, rallying purposes.

I kinda figured that was the aim. I tried to stay on target and only put up Texas bands. I'll dig a little deeper and look for some tunes that specificly mention Texas.

Can we get some rock music at least?

I suggest Texas Flood by Stevie Ray Vaughan. Most of it is a guitar solo but he says Texas in there a few times.

eh i cant decide got some pretty good songs
could have gotten a better ZZ-Top song i mean i still love the band and i thought they should do are opening but i dont know bout putting hellraisers on it
ja i didnt think these were songs in that mention Texas
at least the Toadies was a band from Austin (Jello taught me that :wink: )
but i was wondering about La Grange from ZZ-Top because at least its about a Texas city that just happen to have a whore house...
its a kick ass song though
