Right on... it was awesome to see you on. Come back real soon...
Also, I'm pretty sure that my gibberish didn't answer your questions so... post those questions up or get with any of the DoD regs.
Good to cya!

Re: New Player
lol... prepared to be frustrated, I would say DoDS has the highest learning curve of any of the TTP games Ive played. as far as learning to use the weaponry, not the game play obviously... did you get CSS as well?

(1) The Assaults are the easiest weapons to use but that ease comes at the expense of range. Always work in a CQC environment and try to understand how your position enables your long range coverage to dominate and vice-versa.
(2) After MGs (I never use them so I'll let someone else step up), the Supports are probably the next easiest but their 'high' power and large clips come at the expense of recoil. With a good mouse, 'appropriate' sensitivity, and a good deal of practice, you can suppress and kill enemies from middle to long range. Try these in each of the stances; prone, crouch, and standing. However, if you're prone very often then you'll end up letting your team down. Use your mobility, nades and superior firepower to suppress and advance. Once you are good with this class you'll 'assault' standing up, suppress from a crouch, and occasionally take out snipers and riflemen at long distance from either a crouch or a prone.
(3) The rifles are probably the hardest to learn (and be really good at). The idea is fairly simple: accuracy while moving is nil, when stopped the cone of fire is very small, being stopped makes you an easy target for everyone else, the accuracy is perfect with crosshairs up. SOooo, optimize engagement distance, work with your supports and assaulters, slow down ONLY when you have to. Once you get this sorted out, you'll go from strafing left/right to dead enemy in little more than an instant.
(4) Snipers are similar to riflemen: don't stop any more than you have to, sight pictures (not movies), and enable everyone else to move in on the target.
And with any of these classes... if you're camping then you're probably losing.... mobility... mobility... mobility.
Good luck again...

Re: New Player
Thanks yall. My first object to over come was the commands. Getting the Push to Talk button on my mouse and then global chat keys were a bit fun at first. I'll try to get on now and see what kinda points I can give ya while ya shoot me

What Happened to Boss Zombies, New Guns, and Campaigns?
Any word on any of those things? I'm extremely disappointed that Lighthouse wasn't a campaign, just a finale for survival.
