It's nice to see we can at least agree on this topic eh bart :P
But yeah I don't understand the difficulty people have in grasping that children are essentially tiny adults missing key features. Intelligence (not dumb just not at the same level), patience, tolerance for differences, and one of the most important IMO BRAIN TO MOUTH FILTERS. These tend to be the characteristics of someone considered mature.
Sorry if this part offends anyone due to word usage but I'm sure you'll all understand. Kids spouting off racial slurs, it in no way makes you cool or even gives someone the perception that you may be cool by calling louis a Ni**er. Light hearted jokes are fine, here I'll even give you one.
"Better keep louis away from the car, the alarm will definitely go off when he tries to steal it."
Shit like that while offensive to some people (usually those a tad too PC for their own liking) is mostly taken in jest because 2min before that I wasn't spouting off every racial slur in the book to be cool.
Just take stuff down a notch and people will be much less likely to kick and what not.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Funnily enough, had exactly this a few nights ago.
Our team had really been playing well together, not always winning but very close either way (which makes it tons more fun IMO). Then he pops up saying that.
I said that's really not cool, and he was really contrite, think he was actually quite ashamed he said it. He just got over excited I reckon.
I was rather pleased at that, cos usually I would expect a different kind of response (you can't tell me what to say etc etc).
Went on to play the game well, and had fun.
I have to say though, that's an exception rather than the rule unfortunatly. That's why I'd prefer the ratings enforced.Raagghh. Uurggghhh. Blluuurgghh.

Well, I'm 16.
I've always played video games.
I'm extremely mature, and I never act like a "little kid".
My point is, not every under 18 are like the stereotypical annoying little brats.
Of course, there ARE many out there and I completely understand your point.
But hey, give some a chance at least.

I have to back Abyss up on this...we're all fucked now :c
You type like that all the time WFTU!
Sexist much?
As for people being mature in game. I've played with "kids" before and some of them are highly mature (Abyss and Danomeon for example) and others are just babies. Age really doesn't dictate maturity levels, its the raising the child gets really. I know I was waaaay more mature than any of my peers, male or female, and that's because of how my mum raised me.
So kids are brats, some kids are awesome.
