RE: The Retard
"Jesus Arms" thing is a good description. That is exactly what he was doing and while it was going on, you could not kill him.

Two probable things it could be.
1) The latest patch ate your audio drivers (it ate a lot of peoples) but easy to fix. Just reinstall your sound drivers.
2) turn the audio quality down to medium.
other wise I'd take a look through this thread

I have almost same problem, no lag at all.. But my sound works fine until I start playing the game or go to sound option.. If i switch speakers setting it fixes it until i hit done... I have updated my sound driver, I even put it back down to where it was.. Did what they said on that link you posted... I have 1 device running... Have sound at medium and nothing.. I even tried uninstalling and reinstall and still nothing.

I have a similar problem with audigy 2 zs. It seems to run steadily only in 2 speaker mode. I tried to install the latest Creative driver and then none of the Creative apps could find the device. Uninstalled driver and apps and then reinstalled from installation CD to get it to work. Higher speaker modes cause sound to just cease, no lag or stuttering. Fooling with the settings will make it come back sometimes.

@amonn - did you reinstall your sound driver?
@mrhaffer - uninstall the driver, then run Guru3D - Driver Sweeper (instructions on the page) I haven't had a sound issue with the game since I did that and no the file creative has on there site for the audigy 2 doesn't work at all.

And remember to set Audio Quality to Medium.

Which driver do you suggest I install after I run the Driver Sweeper?
Thanks for the response.
