Are the stats based off IP addresses or Steam ID's?

I have never done much reserach about it and was wondering if anyone had the information at hand. My roomate and I both have different steam accounts but run our internet connection through a router so by default we share the same IP address. The different IP addresses of our computers would only show up once packets are past the routers and would not be brodcast past the router to the Texas server. I am curious since it shows his name as one of my aliases. Any Ideas?

The ingame stats and psychostats are both by steam ID....so don't worry about your roommate screwing up your stats.

probably one of you forgot to log out of the steam client, and played a few games with the other's steamID.

as skervy said........all stats we have are steamID only.

Nah ... not my last post. I look foward to hearing from you all and catching a little ribbing from time to time, seeing as most of you make easy work out of me. I might be top 10 in playtime but no where near top 10 in stats ... Doh. Who said experience makes you better?

The new Steam Beta is up for a test run. This versions most notable feature, you can browse the internet from within steam. Works great so far, be sure to check it out.

It's good for the 20 second wait when spawning in versus I suppose? Take a look at a walk trough when you're stuck in a game or look up some console commands and cheats, listen to some musak in YouTube. Hell, it even lets you never have to stop looking at porn.

Alt-tab did that just as well as whatever your hotkey for the Steam overlay is

For some folks, Alt-tab leads to a crash as the computer drops a deuce trying to handle that. It just makes things smoother for those folks.

Whats gonna turn some folks is that Steams ingame browser is run by the internet explorer engine, though a Valve rep indicated that might change in the future.
