Xfire

I am on X more than steam and this way if you DOD peeps jump in game you can hit me up there. I hate having a lot of different programs running and Xfire can be used for DOD and TF.

Steam can be used for all games, just have to Add Non-Steam game and since 3 of the games TTP hosts requires steam to be open, it's just as easy to just use Steam. But I still use both sometimes, less and less of Xfire though since it usually causes problems (stupid Xfire errors...).

oh oh! I have xfire! infact I have Dusty as a friend there. so I can talk to her whenever, even if she isnt on steam.

Why would we use Xfire when Steam is superior?

Most of us have xfire i am guessing. I do and have a link on my profile here to my profile there but i rarely use it cause it is very similar to steam and having them both running at the sametime is kinda redunant.

Shouldn't be an issue. Go to Games, Add Non-Steam Game, and either select it from the list or dig up the executable file yourself and add it to your games list. Assuming there isn't some weird EA-hating-Valve thing going on (I never tried this with 2142 since I barely have the system resources to run Steam alone), you should be able to launch BF2 through Steam, which will also give you the Steam Community overlay, too.

But the launch time is increased by a lot.
